Sam Worthington in First Trailer for Spiritual Journey Film 'The Shack'

1 December 2016 3:04 PM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"We've lost so much already, I don't want to lose you, too." Lionsgate has debuted a powerful trailer for an adaptation of a bestselling novel titled The Shack, a spiritual journey story about a father who spends time at a remote shack in Oregon and "finds important truths that will transform his understanding of tragedy and change his life forever." Sam Worthington stars, along with Octavia Spencer, Radha Mitchell, Tim McGraw, Graham Greene, Ryan Robbins, Megan Charpentier, Gage Munroe, Amélie Eve, Derek Hamilton, Jordyn Ashley Olson, Emily Holmes, and Aviv Alush as Jesus (you'll see). This is actually some serious religious propaganda, with a story about Worthington getting a "mysterious, personal invitation to meet with God at a place called The Shack." This looks tailor made for American audiences. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Stuart Hazeldine's The Shack, direct from YouTube: Based on the bestselling novel, The Shack »

New Trailer for Power Line Movie 'Life on the Line' with John Travolta

2 September 2016 11:11 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"Any little distraction will kill you." Voltage Pictures has debuted another new trailer for the movie Life on the Line, an action-thriller about the risky lives of power line workers. The film stars John Travolta and Devon Sawa as two line workers who end up working during a massive storm that nearly destroys their lives. The cast includes Kate Bosworth, Sharon Stone, Gil Bellows, Julie Benz and Ryan Robbins. We featured a trailer for this earlier in the year, as it looks unlike anything else being released nowadays. It seems obliviously cheesy, but also almost like a throwback to 90's action movies. Tavolta looks pretty wild, though I'm not sure if this will be any good. The release date listed in the trailer is for Singapore, not the Us. Here's the newest trailer (+ a poster) for David Hackl's Life on the Line, direct from YouTube: Life on the Line »

John Travolta Lives Life On The Line In New Trailer For High-Wire Thriller

24 February 2016 10:00 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Voltage Pictures has premiered a new trailer for high-wire thriller Life on the Line, starring John Travolta as a blue-collar worker risking life and limb to restore downed power lines across the country.

Described as one the most dangerous occupations out there, the subject matter wouldn’t look out of place in a straight-to-tv documentary, though director David Hackl has moulded a story around the employment regardless. It’s a dated one, too, with Travolta on board to play Beau, a grizzled veteran who reluctantly takes newcomer Devon Sawa under his wing.

In his time dealing with power outages and unforgiving storms, Beau has witnessed his fair share of tragedies. Plus, the fact that he acts as a surrogate father to Kate Bosworth’s character, a potential love interest to Sawa’s maverick, evokes a romantic subplot not dissimilar to Michael Bay’s Armageddon – only with decidedly less AerosmithSharon Stone, »

John Travolta in Trailer for 'Life on the Line' Power Line Workers Film

23 February 2016 2:15 AM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"I do have a job, momma, I told you I'm a line man now." Voltage Pictures has released a new trailer for the film called Life on the Line, about the dangerous and challenging lives of power line workers. Yeah, seriously. The film stars John Travolta and Devon Sawa as two line workers who end up working during a massive storm that nearly destroys their lives. The cast includes Kate Bosworth, Sharon Stone, Gil Bellows, Julie Benz and Ryan Robbins. This almost looks like one of those action movies from the 90s that we don't see anymore, all about hard working people who just want to keep everyone safe and do their jobs. Not sure if this will find any audience at all, but give it a watch anyway. "We gotta get the power on!" Here's the first official trailer for David Hackl's Life on the Line, direct from »

The budding alliance between the humans and the orcs still looks rough in the new TV spot for Legendary’s “Warcraft,” which debuted on Sunday.

“They’re beasts,” says Ryan Robbins’ Karos. “They should all be destroyed.”

The spot is just 3o seconds long, but it gives another peek at the adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s wildly popular “World of Warcraft” video game series, showing more action from the 3D fantasy epic.

Moon” and “Source Code” helmer Duncan Jones directs and co-wrote with Charles Leavitt. Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Ben Schnetzer, Toby Kebbell, Ruth Negga, Clancy Brown, Robert Krazinsky, Daniel Wu and Anna Galvin star.

The story is set in Azeroth, a once-peaceful realm that faces war when orc warriors invade their land, fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. »
