Meg Ryan Steps Out for Rare Red Carpet Appearance

Meg Ryan made a welcome return to the red carpet Thursday night. The New York-based actress attended the Ithaca screening during the 18th Annual Savannah Film Festival at the Trustees Theater in Savannah, Ga. The coming-of-age movie is Ryan's directorial debut and stars her 23-year-old son, Jack Quaid, as well as Tom Hanks, Danny Jolles, Hamish Linklater, Christine Nelson, Alex Neustaedter, Lois Robbins, Sam Shepard, Robin Skye, Zachary Webber and Nick Williams. Appropriately, Ryan and Quaid play a mother and son. Ryan was also given a Lifetime Achievement Award at the event. During a Q&A after the screening, Ryan said the film was inspired by William Saroyan's 1943 novel The Human Comedy. »

Recently, CBS served up the new,official synopsis/spoilers for their upcoming "Blue Bloods" episode 6 of season 6. The episode is entitled, "Rush To Judgement," and it turns out that we're going to see some very interesting stuff go down as Jamie sparks up a Five-o investigation on him after getting caught possibly doing some illegal stuff on camera, and more. In the new,6th episode press release: Internal Affairs Investigates Jamie After He's Caught On Camera Committing What Could Be Perceived As Police Brutality, On "Blue Bloods," Friday, Oct. 30. Press release number 2: When Jamie will get caught on camera committing what could be construed as police brutality at an anti-policy demonstration, Frank will be forced to turn the case over to Internal Affairs. Also, Danny and Baez are going to investigate a rape case involving a civil rights attorney who claims the charges were drummed up in retaliation for the investigation into Jaime. »

Read More: 2015 Virginia Film Festival Announces Lineup, Including 'Son of Saul,' 'Carol' and More Though the 28th annual Virginia Film Festival released its official lineup last week, including awards favorites "Son of Saul" and "Carol," it has been announced that 20 more films will be added to the prestigious slate.  The festival adds the Saoirse Ronan-starring "Brooklyn," Paulo Sorrentino's "Youth," indie favorite "Krisha" and Laurie Anderson's "Heart of a Dog." Other titles include "Paradise, Fl," "Lucifer," and "Embrace of the Serpent." Alex Neustaedter, the young star of "Ithica," will be included in a post-screening discussion with director Meg Ryan, actor Lois Robbins and producer Janet Brenner.
