When the Girl Meets World season three and TV series finale aired on Disney Channel on January 20th, it was chock full of original Boy Meets World TV show stars, too. That said, the goodbye scene for one vet -- who has appeared on both cancelled series -- ending up on the cutting room floor. When the episode was filmed in July 2016, the network hadn’t officially decided whether the show would return for a fourth season, forcing the writers to get a little creative.
“We shot it so it could pass as a finale if we needed it to be,” Corey Fogelmanis (aka Farkle) tells TVLine. “We wrapped the season with that thought in the back of our minds. »
Before the final episode of “Girl Meets World” airs on Friday, stars Rowan Blanchard (Riley Matthews), Ben Savage (Cory Matthews) and Sabrina Carpenter (Maya Hart) and creator Michael Jacobs have a special message for followers of the “Boy Meets World” story.
In this exclusive featurette, which you can watch above, the team shares what the series has meant to them and discusses the important messages the series tackles. The cast has become a real family over the years, Carpenter says, and the bonds will last beyond the finale.
“We make a fun show about real issues. We do it in a fun, relatable way and I think people appreciate that,” Savage says in the video.

Girl Meets World has become the first TV casualty of 2017. The Twitter account for the show's writers announced the news on Wednesday, confirming that season three will be the show's final season. There are still three episodes left, which will air in January: "World Meets Girl" is a fan-focused episode, "Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen" will show Riley's 16th birthday, and the last episode, "Girl Meets Goodbye," sounds all the more poignant given the news.
