Is an accomplished sketch and portrait artist. In fact, she was an artist before working on Gone with the Wind (1939).
Gone with the Wind (1939) was the only movie role Rhett did. She was offered other roles, but moved back to South Carolina citing she did not think she was right for the parts.

Raised in Delaware and South Carolina.
As of March 2011, Ms. Rhett is the oldest surviving [credited] cast member of Gone with the Wind. Of all the credited cast members, there are a total of five people still alive. The others are Mickey Kuhn, Olivia de Havilland, Ann Rutherford, and Mary Anderson.
