Zhane Hall Will Play Meagan Good's Son in Fox TV's 'Minority Report' Project

Zhane Hall has joined the cast of Fox’s small screen version of the sci-fi movie based on the 1956 Philip K. Dick science fiction short story, "The Minority Report," which starred Tom Cruise, and was directed by Steven Spielberg. Fox's TV series version will be set 10 years after the events of the film, which concluded with law enforcement’s Precrime division being disbanded. In the show, a female detective who is haunted by her past, teams up with a Precog that's still plagued by visions (similar to the movie, although the genders of each character has been swapped). Zhane Hall joins the previously-cast Meagan Good, who stars as the female detective - Lara Vega. Hall will play her son in the series. Stark Sands and Meagan Good join Minority Report TV series

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Stark Sands (Inside Llewyn Davis) has secured the lead role in Fox’s upcoming TV sequel to the 2002 sci-fi Minority Report, with Meagan Good (Think Like a Man) has also signed on to the cast.

The site reports that the series “takes place 10 years after the end of Precrime in Washington, D.C., and centers on one of the three Precogs who struggles to lead a “normal” human life, but remains haunted by visions the future, when he meets a detective (Meagan Good) haunted by her past, who just may help him find a purpose to his gift.”

Sands is set to portray the dual role of the precogs Dashiell and Arthur, who were played by Michael Dickman and Matthew Dickman in the film. Also featuring in the cast are Li Jun Li and Laura Regan, along with Daniel London who reprises the role of Wally the Caretaker. »

Back in January, we reported that Fox had given a pilot order to their small-screen Minority Report sequel and over the past week, with production expected to begin soon, Fox has finalized its main cast for the upcoming sci-fi series.  Stark Sands (Inside Llewyn Davis) and Meagan Good (Think Like A Man) have landed the lead roles with Sands playing the dual roles of Dash and Arthur, the two male Precogs, and Good playing Lara Vega, a detective haunted by her past, who will work with Dash to help him find a purpose for his gift.  Laura Regan (Mad Men), Li Jun Li (Damages), and Daniel London (Minority Report) round out the rest of the cast with Regan playing Agatha, the Precog played by Samantha Morton in the original film, Li will play a CSI technician named Akeela, and London will reprise his role as Wally the Caretaker from the original 2002 film. »

'Minority Report' TV Show Gets Stark Sands as Precog Twins

Just hours after the female lead role in Fox's Minority Report TV series went to Meagan Good, Stark Sands has landed the male lead, playing the dual roles of precog twins Dash and Arthur. Those roles were played by Matthew Dickman and Michael Dickman in the original Minority Report movie, directed by Steven Spielberg. The actor joins a growing cast that also includes Daniel London, Li Jun Li and Laura Regan.

The TV follow-up to Minority Report has found its leads: Anchorman 2's Meagan Good and Inside Llewyn Davies' Stark Sands

We recently heard that Daniel London would appear in the Minority Report series, reprising his role from the film as Wally the caretaker for the TV series set ten years after Tom Cruise brought the whole PreCrime system crashing down.

Now, we know who the two lead characters will be played by. They look a bit like this…

The lead role has long been listed as Detective Lara Vega, who we now know will be played by Meagan Good of Think Like A Man, Anchorman 2 and Brick. Her character is a detective who’s ‘not afraid to break a few rules.’ The action of the series will see her helping a former Precog Dash, who still needs help reintegrating into society ten years after the events of film. »

Stark Sands ("Inside Llewyn Davis," "NYC 22") and Meagan Good ("Think Like a Man," "Anchorman: The Legend Continues") have scored the leading roles in Fox's TV series follow-up to the 2002 Spielberg sci-fi film "Minority Report". The series is set ten years after the end of the Precrime Division in the nation's capital.

Sands plays Dash, one of the three Precogs who struggles to lead a "normal" human life yet remains haunted by visions the future. He soon meets a detective (Good) haunted by her past who helps him find a purpose for his gift.

Sands will take on the dual role of his identical twin brother Arthur, he joins a cast that includes Laura Regan as the third Precog Agatha along with Daniel London and Li Jun Li.

Kevin Falls ("The West Wing") will serve as show runner and Mark Mylod will direct the pilot. Max Borenstein ("Godzilla") penned the script and will executive produce. »

One question about Fox's upcoming drama pilot "Minority Report" has been answered - they're happy to recast the main roles from the Spielberg film.

Deadline reports that Laura Regan ("They," "Mad Men") is set to take on the role of Agatha, the most gifted of the three pre-cogs, in the upcoming sci-fi procedural series set a decade after the end of the 2002 sci-fi feature.

In the series Dash, one of the three pre-cogs who were the key to the Precrime division in the film, now struggles to lead a 'normal' human life and remains haunted by visions of the future. He soon meets a detective, Lara Vega, who is haunted by her past who just might help him find a purpose to his gift.
