I really liked making movies. I was impressed by them, but I never liked watching myself on the screen . . . Then several years ago, I guess I gained some objectivity and began to like seeing my movies and that little guy up there that I once was.


Joined the U.S. Army in 1954 and subsequently worked for North American Rocketdyne, a manufacturer of rocket engines, and General Dynamics Astronautics Division, which installed Atlas missiles. He was also a mechanic and shop foreman in later years. See more »
