Piers Paul Read

The son of famous art historian Herbert Read, Piers Paul Read studied at Cambridge and started his career as a critic for the Times Literary Supplement. His debut novel, "Game in Heaven" with Tussy Marx (1966), written while he was in Berlin, was considered one of the most promising of the decade. His other notable novel is "The Junkers" (1968).
