As much as I love J.J. Abrams' dogged determination to preserve mystery in the moviegoing experience, I have to admit that sometimes it can be a little bit frustrating from the point of view of someone who runs a movie blog. Sure, that's kind of the point, but come on, throw us a bone and give us something to discuss here! This week we've learned of yet another secretive project that he will be setting up under his Bad Robot banner and as per usual they have released very little information about it. Abrams will be producing but probably not directing, and no one else is attached as of yet. Hit the jump to find out the rest of what we know about this mysterious flick. According to Variety, Paramount has pre-emptively acquired an "untitled, low budget spec script" from screenwriters Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken. Although Paramount had no comment on the acquisition, »

Earth 2: The Complete Series
Stars: Deborah Farentino, Joey Zimmerman, Tim Curry, Virginia Madsen, Terry O’Quinn, Joey Zimmerman, Clancy Brown, Jessica Steen, Rebecca Gayheart, Antonio Sabàto, Jr. | Created by Michael Duggan, Carol Flint, Mark Levin, Billy Ray
Debuting to huge fanfare back in 1994, Earth 2 was, at the time, event TV on both sides of the pond. Produced by Steven Spielberg under his Amblin Entertainment banner, the pilot was originally released on VHS by Universal before the series debuted later the same year on Sky TV to huge critical and fan praise. Sadly the fanfare and furore surrounding the series and it’s big name producer didn’t translate to ratings and the show was cancelled after only one season of 22 episodes. Some 18 years later the series is set to make its UK DVD debut courtesy of Mediumrare Entertainment…

It’s been a little slow on the news uptake when it comes to Paul Greengrass‘ Captain Phillips, but this silent production just had a minor break. As Variety reports, Max Martini (Pacific Rim) will join Tom Hanks in the true-life thriller, playing Frank Castellano, the Navy Seal commander who organized both Richard Phillips‘ rescue and the killing of his four Somali captors. Since this event serves as the film’s main conflict — and, considering the extent of Castellano’s involvement in said event — it sounds as though Martini‘s nabbed a decently-sized role.
Catherine Keener also stars in the Billy Ray-scripted film, which is scheduled to open on March 22nd, 2013.
Moving on, Variety has two casting stories on Brian Helgeland‘s Jackie Robinson film, 42, telling us that Toby Huss (Seinfeld‘s “The Wiz”), Brad Beyer (Gcb), and Ryan Merriman (Pretty Little Liars) will all break in their gloves »

Billy Ray and Tish, you are Miley's parents and it's your responsibility to save her from hurting herself and her brand by flashing her private parts! Miley Cyrus is calling out for attention and even for love, psychologists are telling us at Hollywoodlife.com. Twice in the past week she has gone out in public in super sexy clothing and paparazzi cameras have caught her first, flashing her private parts and then, on a second occasion, revealing a huge stretch of side boob. On April 6, your daughter Miley, went out to a pilates class in La in a micro minidress without underwear and proceeded to get into a car - a delicate proceeding in a short skirt, at any time - and a photographer captured a photo of her bare under area.
