Charlie Murphy was laid to rest on Wednesday, according to multiple social media posts from stars and family who attended the funeral service for the late comedian.

Dave Chappelle, Eddie Griffin, George Lopez, Donnell Rawlings and Cedric the Entertainer were among the friends and colleagues paying their final respects.

"Darkness is spreading… paying last respects to brother Charlie Murphy," Griffin wrote in a Twitter post with a picture of himself and others at the service.

The comedian, actor and older brother of Eddie Murphy died April 12 at the age of 57.
