Rebels Get Their Wings In New Character Posters For The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

7 hours ago | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

The marketing campaign for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 has done a fabulous job at both teasing the new dynamic and tone of the upcoming penultimate installment, while giving everything a propaganda-like spin. We’ve seen some eerily creepy messages from Panem President Snow, and an intriguing teaser showing off the broken but war-ready District 13 that perfectly play like a message war between Katniss’ allies and The Capital.

The next step in the marketing plan kicks things up a notch with a series of “Rebel Warriors” character posters, that show off new and familiar faces geared up for war. There’s Katniss’ longtime friend Gale (Liam Hemsworth), the deadly-looking Cressida (Game of ThronesNatalie Dormer), her assistant Messalla (Jeff, Who Lives at Home), Katniss’ bodyguard Boggs (House of Cards alum Mahershala Ali), and brothers Castor and Pollux (The Help‘s Wes Chatham and Daredevil‘s Elden Henson, respectively »

The Rebels Stand Tall in New Posters for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1

9 hours ago | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Following a couple of teaser trailers and a number of posters for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, the latest batch of character art for the movie puts the spotlight squarely on the warriors who will be fighting as part of the revolution against the Capitol in the franchise’s penultimate chapter.

This group definitely have a very different aesthetic to those we’ve seen from District 13, and while Liam Hemsworth doesn’t look too different as the returning Gale, we do get our first look at those who will join him.

That list includes Cressida (Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer), Messalla (Evan Ross), Boggs (Mahershala Ali), Castor (Wes Chatham) and Pollux (Elden Henson). They all look pretty good, and go some way in giving us an idea of the darker tone that the final two movies from Francis Lawrence will have.

The Rebels Take Flight in New The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 Posters

9 hours ago | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

For some reason I keep forgetting that there’s a new Hunger Games movie coming this year.  Catching Fire surprised the hell out of me and was my favorite studio tentpole of last year, so I’m definitely looking forward to seeing how Francis Lawrence tackles the final book in the Hunger Games trilogy (well the first half of the final book, technically).  A peek into what’s in store has surfaced today by way of a new collection of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 posters that introduce the leaders of the rebellion.  There’s Liam Hemsworth’s Gale, of course, but I’m really excited to see Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer’s portrayal of Cressida; Dormer’s look for the character is positively fantastic.  And yes, that’s Elden Henson aka Fulton from The Mighty Ducks as Pollux.
