Marvel just unveiled two new photos from its upcoming "Daredevil" TV series, which stars Charlie Cox and is set to be available on Netflix in 2015. Check out the photos below. The series follows the journey of Matt Murdock (Cox), who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City. "There aren't going to be people flying through the sky; there are no magic hammers," said Marvel's Jeph Loeb. "We've always approached this as a crime drama first, superhero show second." "Daredevil" co-stars Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Vincent D'Onofrio as Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Rosario Dawson in an unspecified role. Photos: (click to enlarge) »

New Daredevil Netflix Show Images Reveal a Lawyer By Day, Superhero By Night

19 December 2014 1:05 PM, PST | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

A couple of new Daredevil Netflix show images have landed online, giving fans a new look at the upcoming limited series from Marvel and the streaming service.  Spartacus alum Steven S. DeKnight acts as showrunner on the upcoming series, though Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb (who also oversees Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the upcoming Agent Carter) is still intimately involved in crafting Marvel’s first foray into Netflix territory.  In a new piece in EW, Loeb describes Daredevil as “a crime drama first, superhero show second”, and while DeKnight maintains that the series is certainly “grittier and edgier” than what Marvel has done before, the target audience remains all-encompassing so they’re “not looking to push it to extreme violence or gratuitous nudity.” Check out the new Daredevil Netflix show images after the jump.  The series stars Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Toby Moore, Bob Gunton, »

Review: Jennifer Lawrence remains the beating heart of intense 'Mockingjay Part 1'

18 November 2014 10:30 AM, PST | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

As much as "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" is about anything, it is about Jennifer Lawrence. I don't mean that it's about Katniss Everdeen, the character she's playing, either. Sure, Katniss is once again front and center as we see the aftermath now of what happened at the end of the Quarter Quell games in "Catching Fire," with Katniss poised to be the face of the revolution. But when I say this is a film about Jennifer Lawrence, I mean it's about her fame, the pressure that she's under to make this franchise work because of what it means to Lionsgate, and the way she continually manages to deliver moments that feel authentic, whether they are or not, even under the unforgiving microscope of fame. It's also a pretty good yarn, told with a great deal of energy, packed with actors who are doing everything they can to sell what is, »
