In 1978 she recorded a disco album under her maiden name of Phylicia Allen titled Josephine Superstar that was released on Casablanca Records. This was a one woman musical released only in album form about the life of Josephine Baker which Phylicia narrated and sang. This obscure collectors item is well regarded among many club DJ's as a disco era classic!
