DuckTales Opening, Poster, & Premiere Dates Revealed!

14 June 2017 1:40 PM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

For folks like me, DuckTales played a big part in your childhood. Between the comedy and mix of high adventure, it helped to scratch a very specific itch on TV shows that not a lot of animated series did back then. However, as great as iconic I found the series to be, perhaps what it’s best known for is its catchy opening theme. As someone who watched the show, catching that opening them was an integral part of the actual experience of watching the show (very much how the opening of an anime is an integral part of the show itself).

If for some reason, you don’t remember that opening (or if you've never seen it), take a look:

For as long as we’ve known that Disney Xd would be reviving DuckTales for a modern audience, we’ve been wondering how they’d handle the opening theme. »

Chloe Moretz Outraged Over Her Movie's Fat-Shaming Cannes Poster

1 June 2017 11:28 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

The producers and marketing team behind an upcoming animated film have come under fire for a controversial poster that first debuted during the Cannes Film Festival, with the film's star Chloe Moretz expressing her displeasure as well. The film, a South Korean animated movie called Red Shoes & the 7 Dwarfs, puts a new spin on the Snow White tale, although the poster that was on display at Cannes was met with much controversy for featuring two versions of Snow White, one tall and thin, and the other shorter and heavier. Both characters were shown standing side by side, with the tagline, "What if Snow White was no longer beautiful and the 7 Dwarfs not so short?" After reviewing the poster herself, Chloe Moretz took to social media to issue a statement, where she reveals she had no prior knowledge of this poster's creation, and that she is "appalled and angry" about the message it conveys. »

‘Girlboss’ Review: Britt Robertson Can’t Save This Frustratingly Stagnant Tale of 20-Something Malaise

21 April 2017 12:00 PM, PDT | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

Midway through the “Girlboss” premiere, Britt Robertson’s Sophia Amoruso walks down the street, tears pouring down her face, angrily shouting into her phone. She just got fired, and it first appears as though she feels the dismissal unjust. But then, just as she’s about to tick off a third reason her boss sucks, Sophia stops herself, and says, “Why am I such an asshole?”

It’s a question that had been building throughout our introduction to Sophia and asked in a moment that feels primed for self-discovery. In the span of 15 minutes, she’s been inexplicably cruel to her father, invited herself into a free, semi-permanent residency with a stranger, and made herself unreasonably late for work. She was fired not just for being perpetually late, but also for taking a personal phone call on company time, stealing her boss’ lunch, and unapologetically eating it in front of her. »

Girlboss Is a Fun, Flashy Ode to Any Woman Who's Ever "Dared to Suck" at Life

12 April 2017 10:35 AM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

When we meet Girlboss's Sophia - a 23-year-old wild child barely, albeit tirelessly, scraping by in San Francisco in 2003 - she's pushing her stalled, rusted, junk bucket of a car up one of the city's infamously steep streets. Sophia, played by the charmingly caustic Britt Robertson, looks barely big enough to push a shopping cart of vintage clothes around a thrift store, let alone a vehicle. Still, she handles her "sh*tburger" of a situation with the same ferocity she approaches every hurdle in her life, which includes getting fired from her boring job at a shoe store, storming out of a tense dinner with her dad, and foraging for day-old bagels in a dumpster. While watching the new Netflix show you might find yourself worrying that Sophia, with all of her tantrum-throwing and middle finger-giving, is in constant danger of burning out. She's a woman on the edge, »

The world of online retail can be a bitch, but it takes one to know one. In Netflix’s new series “Girlboss,” one young woman is going to find out what it takes to go into e-commerce for herself.

Inspired by the best-selling book “#Girlboss” by Sophia Amoruso, the series tells her story of starting out by dipping her toes in the eBay pond by clothes-flipping her vintage finds at local thrift stores.
