Watch: One More 'David and Goliath' Trailer for 'Hell or High Water'

18 July 2016 6:24 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"Y'all been here for a while? Long enough to watch a bank getting robbed that has been robbing me for 30 years..." CBS Films has unveiled one more official trailer for David Mackenzie's modern western Hell or High Water, from the writer of Sicario and the director of Starred Up. Chris Pine and Ben Foster star as brothers who decide to rob a couple of banks in small towns in Texas. Close to retirement, the Texas Ranger who decides to hunt them down is Marcus, played by Jeff Bridges. The cast includes Katy Mixon, Dale Dickey, Kevin Rankin, Marin Ireland and Gil Birmingham. This is a helluva film and I highly recommend catching it in theaters. See it because Jeff Bridges is badass in it, see it because the script is outstanding, see it because David Mackenzie is a talented director. There's plenty of good reasons to see it. Here's »

New Trailer for David Mackenzie's 'Hell or High Water' Modern Western

30 June 2016 6:13 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"Well if that ain't Texan, then I don't know what is..." CBS Films has released another great trailer for the modern western Hell or High Water, directed by David Mackenzie, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this summer. I saw the film there and it's surprisingly fantastic, with an outstanding script by Taylor Sheridan (of Sicario previously) that drives strong performances from the entire cast. I really dug this film, and I definitely recommend it, so if this trailer grabs your interest make sure to see it in theaters. Here's the second official trailer for »

Aimee Garcia joins the cast of Lucifer season 2

25 June 2016 7:00 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Aimee Garcia (Dexter) has signed on for a series regular role in the second season of the DC/Vertigo adaptation Lucifer, where she’ll play forensic scientist Ella Lopez. The character description reads as follows:

“A bit of a walking contradiction, Ella is described as brainy but spiritual, warm but tough. She grew up in a pretty rough neighborhood in Detroit, but also in a strong Catholic family, under the watchful and protective eye of her five brothers … which might explain some of her opposing personality traits. It also explains why she’s always felt comfortable in the tough, male-dominated world of law enforcement. Her mutual belief in both faith and science proves a point of interest to Lucifer (Tom Ellis), and the rest of the department, as they get to know and love her quirky ways.”

In addition to Tom Ellis, Lucifer also stars Lauren German, »

Official Trailer for Texas Drama 'Hell or High Water' with Jeff Bridges

12 May 2016 1:43 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"A story about the collision of the Old and New West." CBS Films has debuted a trailer for the drama Hell or High Water, the latest film from David Mackenzie (who last made one of my favorites - Starred Up). Hell or High Water is premiering at the Cannes Film Festival this week, and will be out in Us theaters in just a few months. Ben Foster and Chris Pine star as two brothers who come together to rob a bank, but end up on the run being chased by Jeff Bridges as a relentless Texas Ranger. This definitely has the vibe of a western with some contemporary sensibilities. The full cast includes Katy Mixon, Kevin Rankin, Dale Dickey, Gil Birmingham, Marin Ireland and Melanie Papalia. This looks like solid - give it a watch. Here's the first trailer (+ poster) for David Mackenzie's Hell or High Water, in high »
