Logan Ramsey was born on March 21, 1921 in Long Beach, California, USA as Logan Carlisle Ramsey Jr. He was an actor, known for Walking Tall (1973), Scrooged (1988) and Walking Tall Part II (1975). He was married to Anne Ramsey. He died on June 26, 2000 in Los Angeles, California.

Ramsey is the son of (then) Lt. Cmdr. Logan Ramsey, who sounded the alarm at the start of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Ramsey Sr. was stationed on Ford Island in the middle of the harbor when the Japanese attacked at 7:55 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941. Ramsey's father was also responsible for sending one of the most famous messages in the history of radio when he sent: AIR RAID PEARL HARBOR, THIS IS NO DRILL immediately after sounding the alarm.
Studied acting under famous acting coach Lee Strasberg.
A stage veteran, he became typecast in films as redneck sheriff, racist or gutless villain.
He and his actress wife, Anne Ramsey, best known for her harridan film portrayals in The Goonies (1985) and Throw Momma from the Train (1987), formed Philadelphia's prestigious Theatre of the Living Arts.
During World War II, Logan Ramsey Jr., served as an Ensign aboard the USS Block Island, CVE 106.
Graduated from St. Joseph's College with a B.S. in 1943.
Made his acting debut in the same year (1950) on Broadway, and on television.
