'Desperate Housewives' preview: Can Carlos be flipped?

6 November 2010 5:07 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

There is a phenomenon for straight guys who experiment at least once with gay sex when the right person comes along - it happens in college a lot. We know nothing about it. Um, we saw it on "Oprah."

In the next episode of "Desperate Housewives," we're presented with the possibility that Gaby's (Eva Longoria-Parker) husband, Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), is getting pretty chummy with Bob (Tuc Watkins) -- who's known to be a pro "flipper." As you know, he and Lee (Kevin Rahm) broke up last season over the "children" question.

We can't imagine "straight as an arrow" Carlos would ever go there. We're pretty sure it's just another wacky setup for a Gaby-Carlos "trust" storyline, where she utilizes her great skill at sneaking around for the dish. Or, she'll go to great lengths to shower him with attention. And in the end, she's sorry and Carlos does his trademark angry Latin sizzle. »

'Desperate Housewives' Halloween pics: Not a witch in the bunch...

6 October 2010 8:18 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Well, ABC is certainly putting the pressure on for Halloween. It posted photos from the "Desperate Housewives" Oct. 31 episode and it's clear their wardrobe department worked their magic.

We're most enthused by Vanessa Williams as Marilyn Monroe and wait for it... Kevin Rahm (who plays Lee) as Marilyn Monroe!

Eh, don't know the story behind Bree's (Marcia Cross) cheerleader costume, but a bit underwhelming. And what, pray tell, is Brian Austin Green? Our vote is a pirate/motorcycle rebel...

Felicity Huffman looks gorgeous as a 1920s flapper (and as a brunette, for that matter).

And even without botox, Teri Hatcher pulls off this baby doll look!

No sign of Eva Longoria-Parker's costume from ABC, yet. It better be good!

TCA Update: Brothers & Sisters, No Ordinary Family, Cougar Town and more!

2 August 2010 11:14 AM, PDT | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

Sunday was ABC's turn at the Television Critics Association Summer Tour and what is arguably the most gay-friendly broadcast network looks set to be even more gay-friendly this fall.

I've previously reported there would be a major gay character on the new legal drama The Whole Truth with Rob Morrow and Mara Tierney. Anthony Ruivivar is set to play Alejo Salazar, one of the attorneys who works for Morrow.

I've also written about Happy Endings, a Friends-like sitcom that features Adam Pally as Max, one of the six friends featured on the show. Max is gay but isn't your typical TV gay guy obsessed with fashion.

When I asked David Caspe (pictured right), the show's creator, about his reasons for including the character and he told me, "My main goal with this show was to make something that was real. To try and make it feel and sound like a »

Tuc Watkins discusses “Desperate Housewives”

By Greg Hernandez

HollywoodNews.com: On the red carpet of yesterday’s Daytime Emmy Awards, I was speaking with Susan Lucci when out of the corner of my eye I spotted the tall, dark and handsome Tuc Watkins making his way past me.

I couldn’t break away from a conversation with the queen of daytime but Tuc, so great as David Vickers on One Life to Live and as Bob Hunter on Desperate Housewives, kindly made his way back to me a few minutes later.

I wanted to be sure and check in with Tuc who has been so busy lately with a return to One Life to Live which he juggled with a role in the off-Broadway play White Lies with Betty Buckley, Peter Scolari and others.

It was recently revealed that Tuc has been elevated from recurring status on Housewives to series regular which is great news for his many fans. »

Tuc Watkins signs on to another season of “Desperate Housewives”

23 June 2010 9:36 AM, PDT | Hollywoodnews.com | See recent Hollywoodnews.com news »

By Greg Hernandez

HollywoodNews.com: There’s a good chance that Tuc Watkins will be getting more screen time when Desperate Housewives returns for its seventh season in the fall.

Tuc, so wonderfully delicious all these years as David Vickers on One Life to Live, has played the recurring role of Bob Harper on Housewives on 2007. Bob has been one-half of the gay couple on Wisteria Lane married to Lee (Kevin Rahm) who left Bob at the end of last season.

Not sure of Kevin will be back but I’m damned glad Tuc will and, hopefully, will get the kinds of storylines he is so capable of doing.

Tuc Watkins Talks 'Desperate Housewives' & Playing A Rogue Off Broadway

3 June 2010 6:01 AM, PDT | Access Hollywood | See recent Access Hollywood news »

This fall, after three years of occasional appearances on Wisteria Lane, Tuc Watkins is joining "Desperate Housewives" as a series regular.

The actor, who plays one half of the street's gay couple - Bob (Tuc) and Lee (Kevin Rahm), will head to Los Angeles in mid-July to join the girls - Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria Parker, Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross - as a full-time cast member. Before that happens though, Tuc will finish up a run in "White's Lies," an off-Broadway play pairing him opposite Tony-award winning actress Betty Buckley.

Desperate Housewives: An Out-of-Body Experience

Maybe I've been watching too much Fringe, but Sunday's episode of Desperate Housewives seemed like it took place in an alternate universe. "We All Deserve To Die" was chock-full of out-of-character moments.and while some worked, others simply made no sense. Here's the rundown of what worked and what didn't.

Jaime Pressly vets CBS comedy

The "My Name Is Earl" actress has joined CBS' pilot that was previously under the working title "Livin' on a Prayer," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Pressly will play a veterinarian who works with Tommy at the zoo.

She won a best supporting actress Emmy for her role as Joy Turner on NBC's now defunct "Earl."

"Desperate Housewives" (6.18) Mini-Cap: Blink and You'll Miss Him

Highlights? Well, not quite. John Barrowman was on for a total of 2 minutes, 12 seconds.

Before that we had to endure the long, agonizing ordeal known as the "Chocolate War" between Gabrielle (Eva Longoria Parker) and the insufferable Susan (Teri Hatcher, who still plays every scene as if she's being poked with a cattle prod).

The ladies duke it out to see which of their kids can sell the most chocolate bars, so we get the inevitable scenes of Gabby in a low-cut dress at a construction site ... and Susan pretending her son is a paraplegic. Seriously, what is this woman's problem?

... before turning the gun on herself.

Of course it never occurs to either woman that it would make things a hell of a lot easier to just buy the damn chocolate themselves, but if that happened, it would deprive us of the "life lesson" that's learned, in which both »
