Final Cars 3 Trailer Pushes Lightning McQueen to the Limit
With just one week left until Cars 3 hits theaters nationwide, Disney Pixar has released a final trailer, set to The Eagles' classic 1975 song "Take It to the Limit." The trailer features more scenes with the iconic Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) reaching the end of his career, with newcomers like Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer) speeding past him at every turn, along with more footage of that big Lightning crash we've seen in earlier trailers. This final trailer also features new footage of Lightning's longtime friend Sally (Bonnie Hunt), who tells Lightning that he shouldn't be afraid of failure.

This new trailer from Disney also hints that Lightning will go back to his roots, with a visit to the old track run by the iconic Hudson Hornet (Paul Newman). We also see footage of a race where Lightning comes across the finish line far behind a crop of new racers, along

Cars 3 Posters Pit Lightning McQueen Against New Millennial Racers
Disney has released two international posters for Cars 3, which show Lightning McQueen squaring off against two young racers Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) and Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer). While Jackson Storm becomes his most contested rival on the Piston Cup circuit, Cruz Ramirez is actually on Lightning's side, serving as his new trainer to help him beat the young upstart. The first poster teases a scene we've previously seen in early concept art, which may be an homage to an iconic movie.

BadTaste.it debuted these posters, the first of which shows Lightning McQueen on the beach. You may recall that, back in May, Disney revealed concept art that showed Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez racing on the sand, which may or may not be an homage to the iconic oceanside race between Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) in Rocky 3. The second poster, however, is set at a packed racing arena,

Miss Fritter (voice of Lea DeLaria) loves the smash-and-crash life of demolition derby. A local legend at the Thunder Hollow Speedway, Fritter’s formidable school-bus size is intimidating, but it’s her smoke stacks of doom, razor-sharp stop sign and crazy collection of her victims’ license plates that usually steers her opponents in the other direction. ©2017 Disney•Pixar. Disney•Pixar’s Cars 3 reveals key voice cast and characters, featuring award-winning stars. According to director Brian Fee, the roster includes both new and returning characters. “We’re introducing some fun and really appealing characters in ‘Cars 3,’” said Fee, “so we really wanted to find the right voices to help us breathe life into them. Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Hart, Emma Stone and 319 others invited to vote for Oscar
Strangely dropping a press release on a historic day where the nation's attention is elsewhere, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed their annual list of new member invitees this morning. For those who criticize the makeup of the Academy there was some good news and the stark realization the organization still has a long way to go. The Academy has spent the last eight to 10 years attempting to diversify its membership and this year's class mostly reflects that. There are significantly more invitees of Asian and African-American descent, but the male to female disparity is still depressing. Out of the 25 potential new members of the Actor's Branch only seven are women. And, no, there isn't really an acceptable way for the Academy to spin that sad fact. Additionally, It's important to realize the 322 people noted in the release have only been invited to join Hollywood's most exclusive club.

Academy Invites Record 322 New Members in Push for More Oscar Diversity
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences continues to push for diversity, sending membership invitations to 322 individuals, including a healthy number of people who can help change the org’s demos.

Among the invitees are David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Felicity Jones, Emma Stone, Rosamund Pike, Bong Joon-ho, Justin Lin and Francois Ozon. The Academy has been reaching out to women, foreign-born artists and people of various races, ethnic backgrounds and ages.

Accusations of Academy bigotry surfaced yet again in January when the list of Oscar nominees included Caucasians in all 20 acting categories, and few women or racial minorities among the other categories. Director Ava DuVernay and actor David Oyelowo of “Selma” had seemed like strong contenders, giving many people hopes of breakthroughs. After initial anger at the Acad, activists began to shift their protests to industry hiring practices. For example, 323 films were eligible for 2014 awards — which means AMPAS should theoretically

Av Room: Cars 2 3D Blu-Ray Combo Pack

Cars 2 3D Blu-Ray Combo Pack Walt Disney Home Entertainment 2011/Rated G/Running Time 106 Mins List Price: $49.99 – Available November 1, 2011 Pixar Animation's seventh feature, 2006's Cars was perhaps their first film that didn't work for me. I didn't hate their tale of a hotshot race car who hits a detour and ends up stranded in a small town, but it was perhaps the first time I felt disappointed by their efforts. A few years earlier, when the project was announced, it seemed like a weird premise – an animated film set in a world populated by anthropomorphic motor vehicles – but I always saw John Lasseter as a genius and if anyone could pull it off, it would be him. Or so I thought. Lasseter made an entertaining and visually impressive feature, yet the story was lacking and to the experienced moviegoer it felt like a remake of the 1991 Michael J. Fox vehicle Doc Hollywood.

Toy Story 3 3D Blu-Ray Combo Pack Walt Disney Home Entertainment 2010/Rated G/Running Time 103 Mins List Price: $49.99 – Available November 1, 2011 “What do you think is gonna happen Woody, Andy's going to take you with him to college?” That's a question raised by the old prospector (Kelsey Grammer) in Toy Story 2 and a decade later, the third chapter in the series builds upon it. It's probably fitting that we've all had to wait so long for another sequel to the first full length computer animated film, because time is never on a toy's side, yet the subject makes compelling story telling. Lee Unkrich, who co-directed the previous film as well as Finding Nemo and Monster's Inc., finally gets full directing duties for perhaps one of Pixar's best films. Though not as emotionally powerful as Toy Story 2, this sequel is the darkest and most adult oriented of the three, raising
