Maggie Q talks 'Nikita' Season 3 and her No Kill La initiative to save pets from untimely death

21 May 2012 4:58 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"Nikita" fans, rest easy -- though it was on shaky ground for a moment there, the show was picked up for a full Season 3. The second season ended with a few shocking twists last week, but at least we can all look forward to watching it on Fridays at 9 p.m. starting this October. Phew!

"I got a missed call from the head of the studio," Maggie Q tells us, "and I thought, that's either, 'Oh, you're not coming back,' or 'Congratulations.' I called him up, and he answered and he just started laughing, and I went 'Oh, I guess it's good.' We got picked up for 22 [episodes], which I did not genuinely expect at all. If we were coming back I thought we'd get maybe half a season."

The cast will go back to work on Season 3 in July, but in the meantime, Maggie isn't exactly twiddling her thumbs. »

Pasha Adam: Reflecting on Two Seasons of Nikita

21 May 2012 2:12 PM, PDT | Aol TV. | See recent Aol TV. news »

What follows is a spoiler-filled pseudo-review, pseudo-analysis, pseudo-love-letter for Nikita season one and two...

When Nikita's second season bowed this past Friday, it did so with one of those rare finales that -- should the show not have been renewed -- would bring closure to not just the season but the series as a whole. By the end of "Homecoming," Nikita had not just completed her mission to bring Division's leader Percy down, but she also pledged to help the Division agents left behind become legitimate patriots, something they thought they were all along.

In pledging this, Nikita realized that the home she'd been longing for all season -- a journey that was comically underscored by her various bases of operations being destroyed -- was in fact Division. During the second season, Nikita had several disappointing encounters with those she considered her parents. One ultimately ended up being a »

'Nikita' season 2 finale: Who lives and who dies?

18 May 2012 7:55 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

There is a major death in the Season 2 finale of "Nikita" You may have expected it, but it the way it happened is still a shock. Nikita (Maggie Q) has been trying to take down Division for years and after deciding she wasn't running anymore in last week's "Crossbow," she did just that. She, Michael (Shane West), Alex (Lyndsy Fonscea) and Sean (Dillon Casey). Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford) too, of course. That boy got yet another smooch in the final moment of the episode.

It appears Nikita and Ryan will be taking over Division. She wanted the group to know they wouldn't be forgotten. So how did they get there? Battle after satisfying battle. Battles that included Sean asking Alex out on a date. Still no answer, but it would be shocking if she says no.

The biggest moment of the night was Nikita killing Percy (Xander Berkeley). It was an incredibly satisfying moment, »

Laura Prudom: Who Died In The 'Nikita' Finale?

18 May 2012 6:00 PM, PDT | Aol TV. | See recent Aol TV. news »

Note: Do not read on if you have not seen Season 2, Episode 23 of The CW's "Nikita," entitled "Homecoming."

It's been a revelatory season for The CW's "Nikita." This year, the show shed the last vestiges of its procedural beginnings and wholeheartedly embraced its compelling mythology, drawing fans deeper into Percival Rose's treacherous web of politics and bloodshed, keeping our heroes on the run, outgunned, but never quite outmatched. We've seen allies become enemies, Oversight dismantled, Zetrov returned to safe hands, Amanda deposed and finally, Percy fallen once and for all.

It's easy to forget, in the halcyon glow of the show's renewal, that this episode could easily have been "Nikita's" series finale -- would you have been satisfied if it had been? From a storytelling standpoint, the narrative truly has come full-circle; this season has been focused on the concept of "home," and as both Nikita and Percy pointed out in this episode, »

The Best & Worst TV Fashion This Week

We're as shocked as you probably were, but Lindsay Lohan looked good on this week's "Glee"!

And she wasn't alone -- props to Robin on "How I Met Your Mother" for bringing us pretty close to tears with that wedding dress reveal; Maggie Q for making simple look sexy on "Nikita"; and Jessica Sanchez for nailing her "Idol" look in addition to her performance. (Well, one of them at least.)

But as we know, they can't all be fashion winners, and "Real Housewives of New Jersey" bully Joe Giudice and Hannah on HBO's "Girls" are representing the "worst" end of the style spectrum this week.
