Actress Emily Proctor has a secret alter ego - she performs as the lead singer of an '80s cover band under the name Britney Wednesday.
Proctor is currently starring as a ballistics expert in hit crime drama CSI: Miami, but she admits she's always harboured musical ambitions.
The 41 year old tells Star magazine, "We're called White Lightning and we play 1980s cover songs. We play parties. I'm the lead singer and my character's name is Britney Wednesday."
But Proctor is under no illusion she could make it in the pop world: "We've never cut a record and if we do, no one should buy it." »
When she's not playing ballistics expert Calleigh Duquesne alongside David Caruso in the crime-fighting series, Proctor is tending to her extensive collection of butterflies.
She confesses to Star magazine, "Yes. I have a professional collection and during butterfly migration, I'm out collecting like crazy. Ever since I was a little girl, insects and bugs have fascinated me." »
While I'm more of an Svu kinda gal, I did catch a few episodes with that dreamboat Grissom back in the day. On another note, CSI: Miami's a fair show, pretty basic by way of forensic/crime series which features a completely unique and bitchin' lab with technology I hope I get to use someday (I'd probably use it to pick out my clothes each day). Like most shows in this fashion, it intermingles personal drama with the workplace, adding just a touch of suspense and danger.
There are some fun surprises. We find out that Horatio's ex, Julia Winston (Elizabeth Berkley), is bi-polar (her breakdowns will probably have you fondly remembering Jesse Spano's short-lived addiction to caffeine pills and how excited and scared she was about it). Diddy guest stars in a couple episodes as a shady defense attorney. Calleigh (Emily Procter) and Eric (Adam Rodriguez) share a passionate kiss, »

CSI: Miami</i> | Photo Credits: Sonja Flemming/CBS" style="margin:0 5px 5px" />Just how much damage did the bullet that CSI:Miami's Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) fired in the show's Season 7 finale do to Calleigh's relationship with lover-partner Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez)?

The good news: Delko may be aimlessly wandering the Everglades, but at least he's alive. That comes as a relief to fans who feared the worst when it was announced that Rodriguez would leave the show this season. And it's a relief to Rodriguez as well...

The initial discussion was about Delko's fate on CSI: Miami. Then, it went to how much Adam Rodriguez will do on the show's upcoming season, especially when on-screen partner Emily Procter openly wondered about the Calleigh-Delko story that only really kicked off last season. And now, it seems pretty much confirmed: he's leaving the show.
Sure, there's no actual confirmation from CBS and Rodriguez himself, but sources tell TV Guide Magazine that Delko will only be returning for a limited engagement and will exit the show afterwards, not be shifted to recurring status as we thought earlier. Apparently, they're not sure how this'll work out: it's possible that he'll appear in a multi-episode arc, but the least that could happen is that we'll only see him in the season premiere. »
"I think my romance is in jeopardy. I think we were in some poor contract negotiations."
Emily Procter there, talking to E! News about the prospects of her CSI: Miami co-star and on-screen boyfriend Adam Rodriguez. If she's to be believed, it looks like Delko's getting a downgrade, from a regular cast member to a recurring cast member--but, to be honest, I'm not really surprised. »
As E! News first reported yesterday, Adam Rodriguez may not be returning to CSI: Miami full-time for season eight. When we caught up with Rodriguez's Miami costar Emily Procter at the CBS/CW/Showtime TCA party on Monday and asked about further romantic developments between her character, Calleigh Duquesne, and Rodriguez's Eric Delko, Emily told us exclusively, "I think my romance is in jeopardy. I think we were in some poor contract negotiations." What?! What does this mean for the show, the season-eight premiere and the future of Eric Delko? Here's what we're hearing... Officially, CBS is declining comment on Adam's future on the show, but sources close to the show say, »
“I am hoping this is my year to have children,” the actress, 40, recently shared at the Monte Carlo Television Festival. “I understand that I am possibly more European in my views of marriage. I am not going to say I’m not going to get married, but it’s not my priority.”
If Emily isn’t expecting by the end of the year, she’s hoping that at least her character will be! “I think the Eric and Calleigh story will work nicely if this is my year to get pregnant, and hopefully it will be.”

The Grammys may seem like one of the longest shows of Award Season, but last night they mixed it up with some exciting performances. The show kicked off with U2 starring Bono, but the absence of Chris Brown and Rihanna was quickly felt. Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Keith Urban and Boyz II Men all stepped in to form a hodge podge second performance of the night while the young couple dealt with assault allegations and drama. Total highlights included Jay-z on stage with Chris Martin and the "Swagger Like Us" performance with incredibly pregnant Mia. They looked like they were having so much fun. While Robert Plant and Alison Krauss took home some of the biggest awards John Mayer and Coldplay took home statues too - check out all the winners here. Gwyneth looked hot introducing Radiohead while Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus sweetly collaborated to sing Swift's new single. »
