Andrew Adamson Directing Haunting Love Story for Amazon (Exclusive)

Amazon Studios is developing an untitled spec its recently acquired, with “Chronicles of Narnia” and “Shrek” helmer Andrew Adamson attached to direct.

Greg Pritikin adapted the script from his own original manuscript. Dylan Sellers and Jay Schuminsky are producing, with David Schiff, Michael Diamond and Allan Loeb executive producing. Sellers acquired the script after Pritikin adapted it from his own unpublished work.

Plot details are vague, but sources describe the film as a haunting love story with elements of “Memento” and “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.”

The sale is the biggest of Pritikin’s career. He had previously worked on several small indie pics. He is repped by ICM Partners and Mgmt.Best known for box-offices hits like “Shrek” and “The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” Adamson recently announced he would be returning to his animation roots with the “Curious George” pic at DreamWorks Animation. »
