By Zachary Swickey

A treasure trove of unseen footage of King of Pop Michael Jackson has been surfacing for years since his untimely passing in 2009, and a reissue of his classic (8x platinum) album Bad will boast even more recently-found footage of the star.

As part of the album’s 25th anniversary re-release, the Bad 25 deluxe package will include a few unheard demos and songs that didn’t make the original version of the heralded album. Bad, of course, already features some of his biggest hits – "Bad," “The Man in the Mirror,” “The Way You Make Me Feel,” and “Smooth Criminal” to name a few. The deluxe album drops September 18 and is the first official re-release of any of his albums since his passing.

The live footage to be included was taken at Jackson’s memorable performance at London’s Wembley Stadium in 1988 – a concert that was attended by 72,000 rabid »

Michelle Monaghan & Susan Sarandon Enter ‘Still of Night,’ Naveen Andrews Joins Naomi Watts In ‘Diana,’ Julianne Hough Finds ‘Safe Haven’

18 May 2012 2:45 PM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

Since her breakout role in 2005’s “Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang,” Michelle Monaghan has been steadily turning in solid supporting performances in everything from big-budget thrillers (“Mission Impossible III”) to more character-based dramas (“North Country”), but Hollywood still hasn’t seen her as a leading lady. That’s all set to change though, as Monaghan has signed on to appear in her biggest role yet alongside Susan Sarandon.

Jonathan Mostow (“Terminator 3,” “U-571”) will direct Monaghan and Sarandon in the thriller “Still of Night,” from a script which he also penned. The film follows Monaghan as a young career woman who is forced to care for her missing sister’s daughter, and in the process of looking for her whereabouts, must outwit a criminal (Sarandon) in order to save her and her family’s lives. Sarandon playing a more devious character could be compelling, but otherwise this material seems to let down the talents of Monaghan, »

She might be one of the most successful singers in the world right now but Adele isn't such a hit with the fash pack.

The Brit singer graced the cover of fashion bible Vogue last October but the magazine's editor has revealed it was one of the publication's worst ever sellers.

Speaking to Vogue.co.uk, Alexandra Shulman revealed that despite Adele becoming one of the most famous women in the world, she was a turn off for readers.

"Music stars haven't sold at all well. Adele is the most popular woman in the world, but one of the worst sellers we've ever had.

"I find there has to be a relationship with the person on the cover that goes beyond how they look. Our most successful cover was the millennium issue - which didn't have anyone on it, but acted like a mirror so you could see your own reflection! »

Sure she's still shopping at her favorite King's Road boutiques, but the Duchess of Cambridge is making a marked move toward a sexier, more daring style - and she's leaving quite an impression. Princess Diana found out about proposal from Camilla

Princess Diana reportedly found out Prince Charles was going to propose to her through Camilla Parker-Bowles. The late royal married the heir to the British throne in 1981 but Diana's former lover Dr Hasnat Khan has claimed she first found out about Charles' plans to marry her, when his former girlfriend - and now wife - Camilla, told her. He told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: 'Camilla came up to her and said, 'Charles is going to propose to you. 'She told Diana before Charles proposed to her. Afterwards, Diana thought, 'Why did this woman know before me?' Obviously they were confiding. 'This is 100 per cent what Diana told me. She thought it was very odd. I would »

Prince William will inherit £10 million when he turns 30 next month. The second in line to the British throne will become eligible to be awarded his share of money from the estate of his late mother, Princess Diana - who died in a car crash in 1997 - when he reaches the milestone age on June 21. While William and his wife Catherine rent a cottage in Wales and have an apartment at Kensington Palace in London, royal insiders believe they may use the money to buy a country home close to William's father, Prince Charles', Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire. What next for Joss Whedon?

11 May 2012 9:16 AM, PDT | The Guardian - Film News | See recent The Guardian - Film News news »

Boosted by the blockbuster power of The Avengers, which Whedon projects could be next for the big screen?

With The Avengers set to pass the $1bn mark at the global box office this weekend in just its third week, it's perhaps safe to say that 2012 is a very good year to be Joss Whedon. Are the Fox executives who once screened episodes of his short-lived cult sci-fi TV show Firefly out of sequence (before promptly cancelling it) quaking in their boots? Probably not. Are the producers who botched his screenplay for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie wishing they had never been born? Not likely. But as Whedon himself hinted this week, a lot more Hollywood doors are likely to open up for the director and writer of what may well end up being the year's highest grossing movie.

If Guillermo Del Toro, who seems to have fingers in so »

Sir Paul McCartney once performed a private concert for Princess Diana. The Beatles legend gave the private performance to the late Princess of Wales and her two sons, Princes William and Harry in January 1993. Paul, then 50, was filming a video for his single 'Biker Like An Icon' at Pinewood Studios in London when he was told a special VIP guest had asked if she could come in. Paul's former spokesman Geoff Baker told the Daily Express newspaper: 'We said it was strictly no visitors until we were told, 'Yeah but it's Princess Diana. The princess entered the set holding the hands of the two princes.' William and Harry - then aged 10 and eight respectively - »

Kate Middleton Pairs a High-Slitted Gown With Jimmy Choos For a Night With William

Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William arrived at Claridge's hotel in London last night. She was decked out in a long white gown from Roland Mouret, surely rivaling any of the high fashions seen in NYC at Monday's Met Gala. Kate paired the white dress with a chic pair of sky-high Jimmy Choos. The sandals revealed that Kate has her toes painted a dark berry color! Kate also wore the sandals for an event last November. Their evening out was to meet up with the Thirty Club, a group of executives from advertising and the media. Prince William was the guest of honor and planned to give a speech. Many of his family members have had the same honor, including his mom, Princess Diana, aunt Princess Anne, and grandfather Prince Philip. William and Kate have another big event coming up this week. The 19 vinyl records belonging to the late royal - who died in a Paris car crash in 1997 - will go under the hammer with Pfc auctions after being bought at a car boot sale for just £6. Two years later, 19 records were sold at a car-boot sale in Cholmondeley Castle, Cheshire, to a mystery buyer. Artists in Diana's collection include the Eagles, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. The HeyUGuys Cinema Release Round-up : 4th May

4 May 2012 10:30 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

It came, it saw, it conquered. Taking a massive, £38 at the cinemas, Strippers Vs Werewolves was every bit the success we all hoped and dreamed it would be. The Avengers did alright too apparently. Joss Whedon’s superhero epic more than lived up to the hype and laid financial waste to all before it.

Out this week are a sizable number of releases with the main one being the belated American Pie Sequel, American Pie : Reunion. The whole gang is back together, all grown up and with successful careers, which is ironic given the vast majority of returning actors. Zing.

Also out is the Zac Efron drama The Lucky One, in which the posters assure me he is ‘hotter than ever’. Plus, tense horror thanks to Silent House, 3D vintage animation in the form of Beauty and the Beast and Jason Statham once again flexing his proverbial acting muscles in Safe. »
