Julia Roberts is attached to star in and produce the film adaptation of New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben’s “Fool Me Once,” Variety has learned.

Roberts will produce with partners Lisa Gillan and Marisa Yeres Gill through their Red Om Films banner.

The novel was published last week by Penguin’s Dutton imprint.

Story follows a former special ops pilot Maya (Roberts) who sees an unthinkable image captured by her nanny cam while she is at work: her 2-year-old daughter playing with Maya’s husband, Joe — who had been brutally murdered two weeks earlier.

CAA, which represents Roberts and Coben, packaged the project.

Roberts can be seen next in Open Road’s “Mother’s Day.”

Roberts is also represented by Engelman & Company and Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof + Fishman.

Coben is also represented by Lisa Vance at Aaron Priest Agency and attorney Michael Gendler of Gendler & Kelly.
