Emmy nominations will be announced on Thursday, July 10 by Mindy Kaling and Carson Daly. The pundits and critics have come to a consensus on the most likely nominees out of the numerous television shows on the air: a showdown between Breaking Bad and True Detective in Best Drama Series, Modern Family accruing a number of nominations at the cost of other comedy series. But what about the long shots? These performers and series would make deserving nominees, but for various reasons, are not expected to hear their names called. Here are five dream nominations in each of the major Comedy categories.
(Note: I only considered a nominee a long shot if it was actually submitted to that category. For example, I could not select Bob’s Burgers as Best Comedy Series, since it was submitted in the Animation categories instead. I also considered nominees only in the category they were submitted; for example, »

Marvel is well-known for sprinkling Easter Eggs throughout their movies, with their most recent offering, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, briefly referencing the upcoming Doctor Strange. When Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters next month, fans should prepare themselves for an Easter Egg overload, according to director James Gunn.
During a recent interview with Moviefone, the filmmaker revealed that there are "tons" of Marvel Easter Eggs throughout the movie, with a character count that is "four times" greater than any previous Marvel movie. However, he did have to clear everything with Marvel's legal department.
"I actually have to clear everything with legal. We put in little things like graffiti on the walls and stuff like that. There's a ton of characters from the comics in this movie, in little tiny roles. But we have to clear everything with legal because once I use their name then I'm screwed in that scene or whatever. »
Marvel have released two new international TV spots for Guardians of the Galaxy, and they feature some amazing shots from the movie, including scenes which put the spotlight on the likes of Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) and Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace).
Also below are the first official stills of The Walking Dead’s Michael Rooker as Yondu, the spice pirate who rescues Peter Quill from Earth as a child and serves as a surrogate father of sorts to him. Asked by USA Today to describe the leader of the Ravengers and his relationship with Star-Lord, Rooker said:
“[Peter Quill is] feeling lost, vulnerable, defeated, emotionally drained and hurt, and here is Yondu in this light coming down and brings him up into the spacecraft and takes him away. [Yondu has] some interesting issues — not a good guy, not a bad guy. It’s not so black and white — I should say blue and white. »

What is this? It's a column where a guy who spells his first name weird speculates and spoils superhero movies by discussing news and rumors. It includes spoilers, maybe. Be wary if you don't like spoilers.
Did everyone have a good Fourth of July holiday? I mostly sat in my room and watched The X-Files on Netflix in between seeing people and fireworks while eating barbecue. And I read a bunch of Daredevil comics, because they are fantastic and Marvel Unlimited is a great program and app that gives me access to hundreds of comics on demand from all eras.
That sounded like a plug, and I wish. Marvel - buddy - pay me to plug your comics stuff. Or pay me in comics. »
Now that the marketing for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is in full swing, we’re seeing a ton of new content from the film, from an extended trailer and TV spots to a host of new images. It’s impressive, then, that the studio has managed to keep details and glimpses of two major characters under wraps. First there’s Thanos, the “Big Bad” of the entire Marvel cinematic universe, who we first glimpsed in the Avengers post-credits sequence and who’ll be showing up again in Guardians (with the voice of Josh Brolin).
Then there’s Yondu, the blue-skinned father figure of Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord, who’s played by The Walking Dead actor Michael Rooker. We saw a quick glimpse of Yondu in yesterday’s new trailer, but now we have a few more photos and some more detail about him courtesy of USA Today. »

Guardians of the Galaxy is just a few weeks away from hitting theaters galaxy wide, but before that can happen, we need to show you even more exciting behind-the-scenes moments with the cast and crew. This latest set video comes courtesy of Vin Diesel, who takes fans into the record booth.
Though he only has one line in the movie, the soon-to-be iconic "I am Groot", he had to say the line in a number of different ways and with a number of different intonations. He also had to do the line himself in a number of different languages for various countries around the world. Watch as he does the line in Mandarin for the Chinese crowd, who've become incredibly important to the Marvel market place.
First time I ever recorded a movie in Mandarin... Surreal and exciting. #Groot
