Born in Dublin, Ireland, Ian Power began his career with the short film 'Buskers', a big hit on the international festival circuit, collecting awards at the Galway Film Fleadh, the Cork Film Festival, and the Foyle Film Festival among others.
Since then he's made a number of other award-winning short films which include the Warner Bros. distributed 'The Wonderful Story of Kelvin Kind', winner of Best Short Drama at the Celtic Film and TV Festival, and 'Dental Breakdown' a comedy musical which won a Remi Award at the Houston Film Festival, the Award of Excellence at the LA Film Awards, and Best Short Comedy at the Fastnet Film Festival.
Power's first feature length film is 'The Runway', starring Demián Bichir ('A Better Life'), Kerry Condon ('The Last Station'), and James Cosmo ('Braveheart') which premiered at The Galway Film Fleadh in 2010 where it picked up the award for Best Irish Feature. It had its European Premiere at the Rome Film Festival, and its US Premiere at the Palm Springs Film Festival where it was selected Best of Fest. Since then it has multiple awards and has secured theatrical distribution around the globe.

Ian Power is an Irish Film Director and Screenwriter.
He began his career making critically acclaimed short films 'Buskers', 'The Wondeful Story of Kelvin Kind' and 'Dental Breakdown'.
His feature debut is 'The Runway', a comedy starring Demián Bichir, which he wrote and directed. The film premiered at The Galway Film Fleadh where it won Best Irish Feature. From there it won numerous awards including Best European Film for Children at the ECFA Awards and Best of Fest at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
He is also an award winning Commercials Director. Previous clients include The National Lottery, BT, and Three Mobile.
