Trouble Is My Business with Brittney Powell. Co-written by actor/voice actor Tom Konkle, who also directed, and Xena: Warrior Princess actress Brittney Powell, Trouble Is My Business is a humorous homage to film noirs of the 1940s and 1950s, among them John Huston's The Maltese Falcon and Orson Welles' Touch of Evil. Konkle stars in the sort of role that back in the '40s and '50s belonged to the likes of Humphrey Bogart, Robert Mitchum, Dick Powell, and Alan Ladd. As the femme fatale, Brittney Powell is supposed to evoke memories of Jane Greer, Lizabeth Scott, Lauren Bacall, and Claire Trevor. 'Trouble Is My Business': Humorous film noir homage evokes memories of 'The Maltese Falcon' & 'Touch of Evil' A crunchy, witty, and often just plain funny mash-up of classic noir tropes, from hard-boiled private dicks to the easy-on-the-eyes femme fatales – in addition to dialogue worthy of Dashiell Hammett and, occasionally...

It seems the Warrior Princess will never die (good news to those of us who still haven't gotten over the series finale). This was supposed to be the last year the Annual Xena: Warrior Princess Convention would be held, but fan outcry caused its organizers to relent, and it's official: there will be a Xena Con 2013. After that, who knows?
Stars Lucy Lawless (Xena) and Renee O'Connor (Gabrielle) are appearing this weekend, along with fan favorites Hudson Leick (Callisto), Adrienne Wilkinson (Eve/Livia), writer/producer Steven Sears, writer Katherine Fugate (Army Wives, Valentine's Day, The Prince and Me), Claire Stansfield (Alti), Jacqueline Kim (Lao Ma), Brittney Powell (Brunhilda), and more. AfterEllen.com photographer KT Jorgensen is wielding her cameras on our behalf, as she has for the last four years (All images used with permission.

YouTube planning a live streaming push? In a recent interview with YouTube's Hunter Walk, he confidently hinted that "There is really no particular technology challenge to us delivering any type of video.” Speculation is still abound as to whether they'll tee off against (or just buy one of) the upstart live portals like UStream, Justin.tv, Livestream or Stickam. [NewTeeVee] Web Series Pin-Up Calendar? Sure, why not. If you've got it flaunt it. Indie comedy series Safety Geeks: Svi launched their very own cal with cast member and former Playboy Playmate Brittney Powell. Safety Geeks:svi, the effects-laden green screen comedy web series put out by Pith-e Productions, tracks an “elite” squad of accident investigators and safety professionals who usually cause more trouble than they’re worth. When we covered the launch of the series a couple of months ago, we highlighted it's main boast: a record-setting number of visual effects. So far, four out of a planned 12 episodes of Safety Geeks have been released. So how does the show hold up? The offbeat characters in Safety Geeks do an ample job of pulling out a few chuckles. There certainly is nothing safe about this team of screw-ups. One thing’s for sure: whether landing a plane in a parking lot or simply opening a door, destruction won’t be far behind. First up is Reginald Syngen-Smithe (David Beeler), a British billionaire with a nack for unintentionally hurting people. In fact, that can be...

If you combine Jackass and Borat and remove all semblance of discipline or organization, you get something like Midgets vs Mascots, an occasionally very funny but often very sloppy mockumentary that is far too eager to show us how taboo it is.
The premise is that a Texas millionaire named Big Red (Richard Howland) has just died, and his will has unusual stipulations on how his fortune should be dispersed. Big Red was a little person and had great fondness for that group. He had also done work as a mascot early in his career, and always loved mascots. But as adult-film legend Ron Jeremy says, "Big Red knew there was no money in mascotting, so he did what any midget would do: porn." Yes, Big Red made his money producing skin flicks, many of which involved actors of his height.
Anyway, Big Red wants a team of five mascots...
