Washington, Dec 27: Hollywood producer and director Jeff Pollack was found dead on a running trail in Hermosa Beach, California.

A woman found Pollack's body in the area known as Greenbelt, Us magazine reported.

Tommy Thompson, police captain of Hermosa Bach told EasyReaderNews.com that foul play is not suspected.

Pollack, who was 54-years-old, is best known for teaming up with Benny Medina to form the production company Medina/Pollack Entertainment, which later became Handprint Entertainment. (Ani) »

Pollack had been at Hermosa Beach, Calif., on Monday in the Greenbelt jogging area when it’s believed he collapsed. A fellow jogger discovered Pollack and subsequently called police. He’d been sporting jogging clothes and had his iPod with him. No foul play is suspected.

“He was already deceased,” Hermosa Beach Police Department Capt. Tommy Thompson told the Hermosa Beach Easy Reader. “He was very cold and had been there a bit. It's still unknown how he died. We're not sure if it was a heart attack, but there were no signs of foul play."

In addition to his directing work, Pollack served as both a writer and producer on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. His other producing credits include The Fighting Temptations, Jennifer Lopez in Concert and The Tyra Banks Show. »

This week we lost producer-director Jeff Pollack, who died suddenly while jogging in Hermosa Beach at the age of 54. Few knew him better than longtime friend and business partner Benny Medina. The two met at a card game in the 1980s and bonded over their mutual love of film, television and music. They went to create the format for the hit 1990 NBC comedy series The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, whose central character played by Will Smith was based on Medina. Three years later, they formed management/production company Medina/Pollack Entertainment, renamed Handprint Entertainment in 1995, with Smith as their first client. Pollack and Medina collaborated on a slew of film and TV projects, including the features Above the Rim, based on a story by the duo with Pollack directing, The Fighting Temptations and The Tyra Banks Show. The Hermosa Beach Easy Reader said Pollack was already deceased when a woman reported finding his body on the area known as the Greenbelt. He was said to be an avid runner.

For several years, Pollack partnered with Benny Medina, the manager on whose life “Fresh Prince” was based. The two formed Handprint Entertainment, a management company with clients including Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez and Tyra Banks.
