Kim Poirier was born on February 6, 1980 in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada as Kim Jacinthe Poirier. She is an actress and producer, known for HypaSpace (2002), Drive-in Classics (2001) and Dawn of the Dead (2004). She has been married to Alex Saunders since May 29, 2016.

She became the On-Air Presenter of HypaSpace (2002) on May 23rd 2005 and left the show on the 7th July 2007.

In November 2006, director George Miller was so charmed by her during an interview on HypaSpace he got Warner Brother's to contact her producer at Space and asked her to write a blurb for a TV show discussing movies of the week and this time it was about 'Happy Feet'. She accepted the offer.
Her skills include Firearms Training, Martial Arts, Dance, Singing, Downhill and Water Skiing, Kundalini Yoga Teacher and Ashtanga Yoga.
She did a group class stage workshop with Tom Todoroff and it was her first time on stage. She said it has made her want to do some theater acting.
She got a role in the musical 'The Pirates of Penzance'. She auditioned with the song "I Could Have Danced All Night" from 'My Fair Lady'. However due to being too busy she had to drop out of the show.
She was close to being picked as one of the female leads of the show Breaker High (1997) when she was 15 but when they asked her to remove her tongue ring she refused and didn't get the role.
Appeared at "The SFX Convention 2007".
She was her own agent during the filming of Decoys 2: Alien Seduction (2007).
She loves Frank Miller's graphic novels.
