Is it too late for Saturday Night Live to completely rewrite tonight’s cold open?
After all, the NBC sketch series would have a field day following the immensely uncomfortable introductions given at Saturday’s Republican presidential debate in New Hampshire.

Here’s how it all went down (though our descriptions couldn’t possibly do the above video justice):
While O’Connell’s character Robert — who moonlights as an actor — will initially be in charge of changing diapers and locating lost binkies, we hear there’s a possibility that inappropriate love (aka the only kind we really want to see on Mistresses) could eventually follow. »
Hakeem Lyon looks warily over his shoulder in the new poster touting the second half of Empire‘s sophomore season — and we can’t blame him.
Last we saw the family’s youngest son, he was voting to oust his father from the top perch of Empire Entertainment — the exact opposite of what his ferocious mother Cookie had instructed him to do.
Still, while both parents might want to take a broom (or worse) to their disobedient son, »

Donald Trump somehow made the list of nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize. (Let that sink in for a second.)
Positing that The Donald would treat Pope Francis and the other nominees the same way he’s treated his fellow Gop presidential candidates, Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday put together a faux campaign commercial in which Trump makes a grab for the highly regarded honor.
As the spot hilariously drives home, the former Apprentice figurehead loves himself some peace.

Kal Penn knows what it’s like to be typecast. Even though he broke through as a pothead in Harold and Kumar and joined the cast of House, he’s had to fake an Indian accent and, as he said during his speech at the Casting Society of America’s 31st annual Artios Awards, a producer once asked him to redo a reading with a bedsheet wrapped around his head like a turban. (He declined.)He’s had more than enough experience with bad casting directors to appreciate the good ones. “Any good casting director should base the role on the substance of the role, not necessarily on appearance,” Penn told Vulture on the red carpet. “I think that always makes for a more compelling character.” One of his favorite auditions was with David Shore when he read for House. “I went in, and there were men and women from »

“Brainy” and “reality TV” don’t often appear together in the same sentence, but Fox has actually provided at least a taste of the former in “Superhuman,” a competition format originated in Germany that’s receiving a tryout as a two-hour special. Kal Penn turns out to be natural as host of this intriguing display of memory, dexterity and other far-beyond-the-norm skills, which is actually done no favors by the expanded format, making some of the stunts begin to feel a tad repetitive. Nevertheless, one can easily see this returning to plug holes on nights where Fox’s ratings are less than super.
In addition to Penn, the producers flesh out the festivities with Mike Tyson and actress-comic Mary Lynn Rajskub, just because, as well as Dr. Rahul Jandial, who might be the world’s most dashing neurosurgeon. The good doctor helps explain how the brain works, while Rajskub and »
