His recent political leanings aside, Sir Michael Caine remains one of the surviving legends of British and indeed American cinema of the last fifty years, and this weekend’s Going in Style–a heist caper directed by none other than ScrubsZach Braff–sees him share top billing with fellow aged legend Morgan Freeman for what seems the first time in a while. Over recent years the iconic British figure–known for his slick Cockney accent which bore fruit with numerous catchphrases in more than one seminal British film–has become more widely known to audiences as a character actor, heavily used in Christopher Nolan’s body of work since appearing as Alfred Pennyworth in Batman Begins.

Soccer Legend Pele Inspires Scripted Series From Bunim/Murray

Soccer legend Pele is getting his own TV series. Bunim/Murray Productions is teaming up with retired Brazilian footballer, whose real name is Edson Arantes do Nascimento, for a limited-run series based on his life in the ’70s, the company announced on Monday. The scripted series will delve into his life while playing for the New York Cosmos alongside other international players. Pele will serve as an executive producer on the series, alongside his manager Paul Kemsley, Bunim/Murray CEO Gil Goldschein, as well as co-president of Entertainment & Development, Jeff Jenkins. Soccer Star Pele to Get Scripted TV Treatment

Pelé, perhaps the world's greatest soccer star, is getting the scripted television treatment.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians producers Bunim/Murray Productions are teaming with Pelé and his manager Paul Kemsley to develop a limited series based on the icon's life, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The potential series will delve into Pelé's (born Edson Arantes do Nascimento) life in New York in the mid-1970s while he was playing for the New York Cosmos alongside other international players. A network is not yet attached. The untitled project will be shopped to broadcast, cable, premium and streaming services.
