Wrecked Cast, EPs on Lost Parallels: 'There's No Smoke Monster'

8 June 2016 11:19 AM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

There’s a good reason why TBS’ new comedy Wrecked (premiering Tuesday at 10/9c) has been likened to ABC’s Lost: The former was born out of the latter.

“It was the touchstone for Wrecked,” confirms Justin Shipley, who co-created series (which was shot entirely on location in Puerto Rico) with his younger brother Jordan Shipley. “We’re huge fans of Lost. I will still defend all six seasons.”

Though Supernatural season 11 introduced audiences to a brand new villain, Amara, she wasn't the only baddie around. In a season about God's sister, Supernatural also brought back God's favorite son. Supernatural fans got a glimpse of that cage that Lucifer has been trapped since season 5, Lucifer got out of that cage and even got a new "meat puppet," Castiel. Some fans might always think of Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer but Misha Collins proved a more than adequate substitute. Here are the 6 most entertaining Lucifer moments from season 11.

Joe Hill Adapts "Locke and Key" For TV

9 May 2016 2:01 PM, PDT | Dark Horizons | See recent Dark Horizons news »

Idw Entertainment have announced that Joe Hill will write and executive produce a new TV series based on his acclaimed "Locke and Key" comics, this one likely to end up on a cable network.

The series, which ran from 2008-2013, follows three siblings who return to their family estate in Massachusetts after the gruesome death of their father.

Once there, they discover magical keys that grant special powers and open strange doors. Unfortunately, they're not the only ones interested in these mysterious artifacts, as a supernatural force is also after them.

Fox attempted a series adaptation in 2010 but the network opted not to pick it up. Mark Romanek ("Never Let Me Go") helmed the pilot while Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman ("Fringe," "Star Trek") produced and the likes of Miranda Otto, Jesse McCartney, Nick Stahl, Sarah Bolger and Mark Pellegrino starred.

Universal then tried to adapt it as a feature »

Quantico: Is [Spoiler] Dead?! And 5 More Pressing Questions Answered

6 March 2016 7:59 PM, PST | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

The following post contains spoilers from Quantico‘s midseason premiere.

Aside from having a head of hair kissed by the angels themselves, Quantico‘s Alex Parrish just can’t catch a break, can she?

In Sunday’s midseason premiere, which took place three months after the bomb that detonated in the last moments of the midseason finale, Agent Parrish found herself answering to a committee investigating the explosion. Pretty much everyone involved — including Sen. Claire Haas, who lost her husband (and maybe her son? We’ll get to that in a minute) in the attack — wanted Alex to testify that »

‘Supernatural’ Star Misha Collins Talks Tackling Lucifer and New Charity Campaign

17 February 2016 3:09 PM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Supernatural’s” Misha Collins may be moonlighting as the devil on the CW hit, but that hasn’t curtailed his good deeds off-screen; the actor has partnered with co-star Jensen Ackles to launch a charitable t-shirt campaign called “You Are Not Alone,” which will fund the newly created SPNFamily Crisis Support Network — a fan-led community support system where trained fans can help other fans deal with depression, self-injury, and addiction. Sales from the t-shirt campaign will help raise the funds needed to develop the community platform, train eligible fan volunteers to be crisis responders, and help get fans in crisis the help they need in their own communities.

Below, Collins talks to Variety about how the Crisis Support Network came about, and what’s ahead on “Supernatural,” in which Lucifer has escaped Hell and taken over the vessel of Collins’ Castiel, unbeknownst to Dean (Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki »

Supernatural's season 11 return is brimming with confidence, affection for fans, and feeling deliciously unpredictable...

This review contains spoilers.

11.10 The Devil In The Details

‘The Road So Far’ is always the best way to kick off a return to Supernatural, not only bringing us up to speed with important events, but also giving us a kickass soundtrack. The episode kicks off with Sam stuck in the Cage with Lucifer, joyfully taking the younger Winchester through a tour of memories in order to make his point. Dean, meanwhile, is recovering from the attempt to kill Amara by the angels when he finds out what has happened to his brother. Castiel tries to ascertain whether Amara survived and Crowley and Rowena (revealed to have been working with Lucifer… obviously) enter a begrudging alliance in the hope that Lucifer will know what to do in order to defeat the Darkness, »

Should Arrow's Felicity Be Angry? How Did Hawkman Forget? Can Emmys Get Young? Nancy Drew Too Old? More Qs!

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about shows including The Good Wife, New Girl, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow!

1 | Did SNL forget Sasheer Zamata is a full-time cast member? And as fun as the Undercover Boss: Kylo Ren send-up was, shouldn’t it have been 20 percent more clever? (Surely Stormtroopers grumble in the galley about pulling duty on an assuredly doomed planet/weapon.)

12 January 2016 5:49 PM, PST | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Our countdown of the 100 best films of the 21st century continues. This is Part 2 #75 through 51.

Click here for Part 1 (#100-76)!

The first decade and a half of the 21st century has brought a lot of changes to the landscape of film. The advancement and sophistication of computers has made realistic computer generated effects a mainstay in both big-budget and small-budget films. The internet and streaming technologies have given big Hollywood new competition in films produced independently and by non-traditional means. We went from purchasing films on yards of tape to plastic disks, and now we can simply upload them to the cloud. Advertisements for films have reached a higher, more ruthless level where generating hype through trailers and teasers is crucial for a film’s commercial success. Movie attendance has fluctuated along with the economy, but that hasn’t stopped films from breaking box office records, including having films gross »

Will 'Supernatural' Season 12 Happen?

10 January 2016 12:53 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Now that the holiday season is over, many of your favorite TV shows will be returning from their holiday hiatus, and in a few months, the networks will make decisions about which shows to renew and cancel. One show whose fate remains in the balance is The CW's Supernatural, which will return with the back half of Season 11 on Wednesday, January 20 with the midseason premiere The Devil In the Details. TV Line attended the network's TCA winter tour panel earlier today, where network president Mark Pedowitz revealed he's "hopeful" that the show will be renewed for Season 12, although he didn't make an official announcement.

"Both Jared (Padalecki) and Jensen (Ackles) are having a blast. As long as they're having a blast, it's a great thing. The show is performing better than it did last year, better than you could ever hope. I'm very hopeful that we'll see it again. »
