The signature moment in each episode of Netflix’s Emmy-nominated “Chef’s Table” is no more than a succession of plates. Composer Duncan Thum’s melodramatic strings herald abstractions of texture and color, labeled as if on view at the Met: A rough pile of gray shards and purple flowers spattered with orange liquid (Grant Achatz’s “Graffiti, Carrot Spray Paint, Wild Mushrooms”); a wood husk filled with delicacies in the guise of dirt, twigs, and moss (Dominique Crenn’s “A Walk in the Forest”). Each montage is an expression of the belief that haute cuisine is high art, one shared by the series’ renowned subjects. “There [are] other disciplines that we can draw on for inspiration,” Achatz remarks. “There are no rules. Do whatever you want.”
For a series defined by cuisine that defies convention, however—gold-leafed ants and pillows of nutmeg air, flights of fancy and sleights of hand...

Another season in the Sunshine State comes to a close as "The Real Housewives of Miami" wrapped Season 3 on Monday (Nov. 4) with star Joanna Krupa finally tying the knot with fiance Romain Zago. With Joanna's ending fairly common knowledge, the suspense was left in seeing how things came together for the rest of the ladies.
First off, we must discuss that drive to San Diego from Las Vegas after the ladies "overslept." Has anything ever seen more fake in the history of reality TV? The women supposedly woke up at 11, couldn't find a single flight that would get them to southern California by sunset (a flight that's only 45 minutes long) and had to drive. They pulled over somewhere to make a dramatic phone call and then still arrived on time. There's no way this occurred in reality. Simply no way.
With that complaint out of the way, let's look...

In the hierarchy of the "Real Housewives" franchise, Bravo's Miami iteration might never match the ratings highs of Atlanta or New Jersey, or be as obsessed over as Beverly Hills, but as it salsa-ed into its third season on Monday (Aug. 12) with all the Latin flair it's come to be known for, it proved it's determined not to go way of the D.C. debacle. (Heck, it survived Season 1, so it's already a success by comparison.)
At the end of Season 2, bitter enemies Adriana De Moura and Joanna Krupa both found themselves engaged to be wed, setting the stage for an intense race to the altar between the feuding beauties. As tonight's episode began (and the season's advertising has teased), it's clear that the nuptial ramp-up will be this season's central focus. But that won't be the only source of drama.

Director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will head committee to choose country's first flagbearer in 50 years
Pakistan is planning to submit a film for the best foreign-language Oscar for the first time in 50 years, reports Variety.
The committee responsible for picking the entry has reportedly received tacit support from the Pakistan authorities, despite professing independence. Pakistan has only previously sent two movies to the Academy Awards since the foreign-language category was created in 1965: Akhtar J Kardar's Jago Hua Savera in 1959 and Khawaja Khurshid Anwar's Ghunghat in 1963.
British-Pakistani director Hammad Khan told Variety: "Pakistan has not officially submitted any films for the Academy Awards consideration in 50 years because the state has never taken film seriously, neither as a cultural art form nor as a valuable communal experience." The film-maker, whose 2011 debut feature Slackistan was refused a release in Pakistan unless cuts (which he refused to make) were carried out, added: "In all those years,...

If there is one thing we could count on when it comes to The Real Housewives of Miami, it would be Mama Elsa Patton's panache for bringing viewers into her crazy world. And with last night's episode, Mama Elsa proves again just how much entertainment, or rather life, she brings to this show.
Elsa Threatens Elaine Lancaster With Her Purse
Miami drag queen superstar, and Lea Black look-alike, Elaine Lancaster was served royally by Mama Elsa for constantly dragging her daughter Marysol Patton's name through the mud every chance he got. When Elaine tried to make nice with Elsa, the sharp-tongued mama wasn't having it and bluntly went old-school by telling Ms. Lancaster that she would hit him with her purse. When I tell you that I died when Mama Elsa uttered those words... I mean literally on the floor rolling as if the casket was prepped and ready for my burial.

Not wanting to give up on the newest entry in the franchise, despite some lackluster ratings for its first season, Bravo brought "The Real Housewives of Miami" back for a second run. They did so with a lot of new housewives, though, including supermodel Joanna Krupa.
The Stir said, "Of all the new Housewives, Joanna Krupa is going to be the most fun to watch. She's stunning, outspoken, and not inclined to take any bullsh*t."
She certainly wasn't too happy during a photo shoot when she learned that her photo may not make the cover. In fact, she absolutely flipped out, leading her sister, Marta, to call her a diva. Joanna insisted she wasn't, and then continued acting like on.
"I’m a cover girl," she said emphatically. "I’m the cover girl!" She then insisted she'd been tricked.

Bravo's little-watched "Real Housewives of Miami" returned on Thursday, Sept. 13 with four new additions to the cast. How did newbies Lisa Hochstein, Joanna Krupa, Lea Black and Karent Sierra mesh with returning cast members Ana Quincoces, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton?
De Moura, an art dealer, showed her true colors almost immediately as she whined about the lack of amenities on the old yacht that her husband bought and intended to refurbish. Plus, who wears spiky heels to what is essentially a construction site?
Supermodel Krupa, who has appeared on other reality shows like "Dancing With the Stars," tried to talk about how she wasn't a diva. Her behavior at a photo shoot after finding out she wouldn't be on the cover proved her otherwise.
Hochstein, the wife of a famous plastic surgeon, good-naturedly admitted that she was extremely spoiled and she and her husband weren't shy to brag about their famous neighbors.

Miami is home of many dreams, ideals, and different cultures. But for The Real Housewives of Miami, it is also the home for second chances.
After its lackluster and contrived first season, the Real Housewives of Miami returns to Bravo tomorrow with a revamped second season, featuring new Housewives, a new look, and an apology for last year's hot mess of an inaugural season. Most people (including myself) felt that the show would undoubtedly be canceled like its D.C. counterpart was due to its lack of watercooler factor, but Andy Cohen must have seen something worth salvaging with this batch of women by giving them a renewal and shutting up the naysayers in the process.
However, it is commonly said that first appearances are everything, and it is highly understandable if a lot of viewers still have enough of a bitter taste in their mouth from Rhom's first outing...

But Ana Quincoces has stolen that title by having the looks, brains, and resume that would make an actual Barbie doll go, "F*ck that bitch!". With the hectic occupations of lawyer, chef, and writer under her belt, will Ana be able to add 'reality show star' to her roster?

Just how awful is "The Real Housewives of Miami?" Deliciously awful. Pour a Negroni or Mojito and gather up: Think of it as Bravo's brave attempt diving in the novella pool, with a cast unmatched for the amount of procedures done to faces and bodies. The filler alone pumped into these faces could fill the famous Miami landmark Fontainebleau's pool. This is a pure side-eye and eye-roll TV bonanza, dressed in requisite overdone eye makeup in this carnival of contrived catfights set against primo South Beach polished pale pink and blue shots. Debuting Thursday, Sept. 13 at 10Pm, the Real Housewives of Miami sophomore season.s new women are former Playboy model Lisa Hochstein, model/actress Joanna Krupa, attorney Ana...

Bravo likes to keep things fresh with its "Real Housewives" series, so fans can expect four new faces on "The Real Housewives of Miami" when Season 2 premieres Sept. 13.
Supermodel Joanna Krupa, dentist Karent Sierra, former Playboy model Lisa Hochstein and celebrity chef Ana Quincoces will join returning Housewives Lea Black, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton.
The casting rumor mill started churning earlier this year when Joanna, Karent and Lisa were all spotted at Lea's annual benefit gala in March and filming at various spots around Miami.
Do you think the new ladies will spice up the Miami franchise?...

Muy Caliente! It's The Real Housewives of Miami Season Two!
This time last year, we had thought the sun had set on the lackluster The Real Housewives of Miami. However, Bravo felt that the show needed a second chance and an even much more needed facelift to woo viewers who were turned off by the last ever Real Housewives installment.
Today, Bravo has finally revealed the (hopefully) polished version of The Real Housewives of Miami, which includes four new Housewives joining returning cast members Lea Black, Adriana de Moura, and Marysol Patton. The new Housewives are actress/model Joanna Krupa, "professional housewife" Lisa Hochstein, celebrity chef/author Ana Quincoces, and celebrity dentist Karent Sierra. Cristy Rice and Larsa Pippen will not be back (thank God). Alexia Echevarria will be returning only in a recurring format since she's taking care of her son Frankie, who was in a horrible car accident earlier this year.

Erica Evans proved to be the leader that the Fifth Column needed on this week's episode, "Uneasy Lies the Head."
In order to stop Anna from moving forward with her plan, Erica infected a bunch of humans. She knew that there was no guarantee of what the virus could do, but she moved forward anyway.
Not many people could pull off the attack she did without feeling any remorse. And from the looks of it, Jack wasn't too pleased with her actions.
After Erica took an extreme chance by double tapping the security guard and then distinctly lying about the entire operation, I doubt Jack will ever look at her the same again. Might this mean Jack is opting out of the Fifth Column? Going forward, how will he be able to be okay with innocents loosing their lives because of their actions?
I am still unsure how I feel...

Nathan Fillion And Stana Katic Return For Season Three Of “Castle”
When the new season of “Castle” begins, Beckett hasn’t heard from Castle since he left for the Hamptons months ago to finish writing his second Nikki Heat novel, “Naked Heat” (on sale September 28). The most Beckett, Ryan and Esposito have seen of Castle is a bookstore standee of him advertising an upcoming book signing. So when Beckett and her team burst into a shadowy apartment on the trail of a murderer, the last thing they expect to see is the real-life Castle standing over a dead woman’s body holding a gun! As Castle protests his innocence, Beckett has no choice but to arrest him on suspicion of murder,...
