John Peel was born on August 30, 1939 in Heswall, Wirral, Merseyside, England as John Robert Parker Ravenscroft. He is known for his work on Rock Bottom (1992), Richard Thompson: Solitary Life (2003) and Teenage Kicks: The Undertones (2001). He was married to Sheila Mary Gilhooly and Shirley Anne Milburn.
