Inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame, 1988.
Pastrano was boxing's light-heavyweight champion of the world from 1963-1965.
Trained for a comeback in the late 1960s and early 70s, but never fought.
Good friend of actor/singer/producer Steve Alaimo.
Made two successful title defenses.
Defeated Harold Johnson for the World Lightheavyweight Title.
Boxed light-heavyweight Champion and Boxing-Hall-of-Famer Archie Moore to a draw.
In 1963 was in the insurance business with former welterweight contender Bobby Dykes.
He had four sons and a daughter. John was born in 1955, Frank in 1959, Nicholas in 1960, Angelo in 1962, and Donna in 1957.
Defeated heavyweight contenders Dick Richardson, Joe Bygraves, Brian London and Joe Erskine.
A reported comeback in Puerto Rico in the late 1960s proved false, as another fighter was using his name.
In the 1960s became a spokesperson for a local South Florida Milk Company.
