Screen Rant’s Ben Kendrick reviews Men in Black 3

It’s been an entire decade since we last caught up with the Men in Black - even though the time travel premise for the third film had already been pitched back in the MIB2 days. Instead of fast-tracking Men in Black 3, the film wasn’t officially announced until 2009 – with a number of re-writes and further production delays to follow.

In spite of the setbacks, Men in Black 3 has made it out of production and into theaters, relying heavily on the team (minus Mib screenwriter Ed Solomon) that made prior entries such a success, including: director Barry Sonnenfeld, producers Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald, as well as stars ...

NBC Joining the Pirate Horde With Upcoming Series Crossbones

15 May 2012 4:00 AM, PDT | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

Yesterday we showed you the first trailer for Revolution, the excellent-looking new series coming to NBC in the fall. Today at the official NBC upfronts they made an announcement about another show we’ll be watching: Crossbones. It’s about the pirate colony run by Blackbeard, which also happens to be “the first functioning democracy in the Americas.”

This is not to be confused with another pirate series, the Starz Treasure Island prequel Black Sails that we told you about a week ago. Hmm, last year fairy tales, this year pirates. We are totally good with that. Here’s hoping that the pirate horde is as successful as the fairy tale gang, especially Crossbones, given that this series creator, Neil Cross, was the creator of the fully excellent British crime drama Luther.
