A mysterious door-to-door salesman shows up at Levi’s home begging for a shot to present his very Scientology-esque pitch. Before Levi knows it, he’s sitting in his living room with his mail carrier tripping out to some serious mystical weirdness that involves the band Sun Araw, a snake and horns. Matthew Lessner’s Chapel Perilous won the Short Film Audience Award at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and it’s easy to see why. Sunday Shorts: ‘Chapel Perilous’, winner at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival

Today’s film is the 2013 short Chapel Perilous. The film stars Kris Park, Bobby McGee, and David Henry Gerson, and is written and directed by Matthew Lessner. This is Lessner’s third short, and his first since he made his feature filmmaking debut in 2011. Chapel Perilous made its debut at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Youtube Shorts Audience Award.

The Anchor Bay Entertainment re-release of director John Schultz' 1999 teen romance comedy "Drive Me Crazy", is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.

The film is based on the novel "How I Created My Perfect Prom Date" by author Todd Strasser :

"...'Nicole Maris' (Melissa Joan Hart) and 'Chase Hammond' (Adrian Grenier) live next door to each other. Nicole lives with her divorced mother and Chase's mother died, , making them two teens living with their single parents. However, they are worlds apart. Nicole is up on the latest fashions. Chase, on the latest protest. She wouldn't miss a pep rally or basketball game with her scheming socialite friends. He can usually be found in a dark coffee room with his friends who don't care what they wear.
