Dan studied accounting at Edith Cowan University in WA before working for two years as an accountant for a major finance company. He has over four years modeling experience in commercials, catwalk and stills. Dan's sporting achievements are commendable including: 1998 Sports Person of the Year (swimming) in state country region, W.A. and in 1991 he competed with the W.A. swim team. Dan also spent four years as a surf lifesaver and won the under 21 surf boat competition at the State Championships. He has also competed in various triathlons.
