Born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. From 1975 on the suffered in "Khmers Rouges" rehabilitation camps. Escaped to Thailand at fifteen in 1979 and arrived in Paris a year later. Studied at the French National Cinema School. In 1989, _Site 2_, his documentary about Cambodian refugees, won several international awards. See full bio »
