Dulé Hill and James Roday were engaged in a pleasant-enough conversation about Psych: The Movie when TVLine’s Michael Ausiello crossed a line. And then things went sideways in a jiffy.

At least, that’s probably how Hill would frame what went down in TVLine’s Comic-Con interview suite, where he and Roday came to talk up the December TV-movie that brought together pretty much all of the USA Network series’ cast. With one small caveat.

The First Image From Psych: The Movie Has Surfaced

17 July 2017 4:00 AM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

Back in May, we reported that USA Network would be airing Psych: The Movie this December. The movie is a reunion of sorts for the series that ended back in 2014, bringing back all your favorite characters, with the exception of Lassiter, due to the actor who portrays him, Timothy Omundson, having had a stroke a few months back. For those unfamiliar with the fan favorite series, Psych told the story of Shawn Spencer (James Roday), who utilized his unbelievable skills of observation to become a fake psychic detective, with the aid of his best friend for life, Gus (Dule Hill). Though an hour long, the series was hilarious with countless '80s references and perfect chemistry between the two leads.

We now have more details about the made-for-tv movie including the first image, reuniting the cast after three years!

This category caused quite a bit of buzz last year when Peter MacNicol was nominated for “Veep” and then deemed ineligible, as he appeared in too many episodes to qualify as a guest. He was replaced by Peter Scolari of “Girls,” who went on to actually win. Well, this year both Peters are eligible and should return to the category. They’ll face off against some stiff competition, including Louis C.K., who has landed three noms for hosting “SNL” already. Dave Chapelle also hosted a popular episode of “SNL.” Jon Hamm and Fred Willard have both been nominated here before for their roles on “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” and “Modern Family,” while Hugh Laurie has moved into the guest category for his returning character on “Veep.” Daveed Diggs was hilarious as Kimmy’s new love interest on “Kimmy Schmidt,” but he’s more likely to be recognized for his arc as Bow’s laidback brother on “Black-ish.” Guests »
