- A 1997 graduate of Studio 58 at Langara College (Vancouver, B.C.), where he received notable reviews for his performances in such roles as "Monsieur Martin" in an updating of Feydeau's "Hotel Paradiso" to the 1960s and Macbeth in a "technoshamanist" production of Shakespeare's tragedy.
- His one-act play "Walking the Line" was produced at Studio 58.
- Performed at the Shaw Festival (Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario) during the 1997 season.
- Winter 2001 - Won many new fans for his performance as the usually-nude Vadinho in the stage production of "Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands" created by The Electric Company at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre. The production won the Alcan Performing Arts Award: Theatre 2001.
