"Captain America: Civil War" - 'Zemo' Deleted Footage

14 hours ago | SneakPeek | See recent SneakPeek news »

Take a look @ deleted footage from Marvel Studios' "Captain America: Civil War", showcasing a scene with the villain 'Zemo' (Daniel Brühl ):

"Daniel Brühl is an incredible actor," said actress Elizabeth Olsen, who reprises her role as 'Scarlet Witch' in the new film.

"...and he's playing the main villain ('Zemo') in it. And he's incredible!

"It's a movie about people as opposed to robots this time. So it's darker and it's allowed to be darker because it gets more in the mindset of humans rather than machines..."

"He (Zemo) does not wear the mask," said Brühl about his look in "Civil War".

"You would be surprised, it's different than what you'd think. It's loosely connected to this character.

"But that's what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they’re dealing with always reference to current events...

"...so my character is from a different area than you would think. »

Brady Corbet to Direct ‘Vox Lux,’ Luke Evans Joins Michael Shannon in ‘Sleep,’ and More

8 August 2016 1:35 PM, PDT | The Film Stage | See recent The Film Stage news »

After displaying his particular vision with his directorial debut The Childhood of a LeaderBrady Corbet has found his next project with the music drama Vox Lux. The Wrap reports that the film, which is also penned by Corbet, follows a pop star who gains success through “unusual circumstances.” After the 10-year process of Childhood, Corbet is excited to have a project with a “faster turnaround,” which hopefully will not sacrifice quality with its shorter page-to-screen window of time. Casting is currently underway before its planned January start in New York.

Coming off this summer’s High-Rise, Luke Evans will next play a sleazy club owner in Meredith Danluck‘s sophomore narrative feature, State Like Sleep, according to Variety. The film, which also stars Michael Shannon and Katherine Waterston, “revolves around the basic need for human connection and love.” More specifically, it deals partially with the club that Evans runs, »

Stream This: The Others, The Piano, Inside Llewyn Davis

In the effort to stay au courant we'll alternate between Netflix and Amazon Prime for streaming news each week. And we'll freeze frame select titles at random places just for fun and see what image comes up. You know how we do!

Felton: I look... is distinguished a word?

Lange: It's a word.

In Secret (2014, expires August 18th)

What is this? Oscar Isaac, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Felton and Jessica Lange? Big name casts for movies that don't seem to actually exist that you suddenly realize do, in fact, exist, are kind of unnerving. Like how do movies that never really get released find financing to get made in the first place? Apparently Oscar Isaac plays an artist in this one (they're looking at a portrait he painted of Felton) so that's kind of smudgy hot regardless. Isaac with paint stains I mean.

Newswire: Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen join “edgy” comedy about online obsession

2 August 2016 10:26 AM, PDT | avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news »

According to Splitsider, Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen have signed on to star in Ingrid Goes West, an “edgy” comedy about a woman who is obsessed with a social-media star. Plaza (Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates) will portray Ingrid, a woman determined to befriend Taylor a woman played by Olsen (Captain America: Civil War) whose social-media accounts promise a picture-perfect life. Instead of realizing that for every beautiful picture on Instagram there are dozens of discarded images with bad lighting or someone’s landlord rapping on a window in the background and demanding money, Ingrid buys into the fantasy and moves West to meet her online idol in the flesh.

Hopefully this synopsis is a bit reductive and the main character isn’t this stupid, or maybe the film wears its “edgy” descriptor proudly and Ingrid is a delusional, dangerous person who won’t stop until she comes face »

Back in May, while promoting Captain America: Civil War, directors Antony Russo and Joe Russo revealed that Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Avengers: Infinity War Part II will get new titles. Another report from last month revealed that the first movie had been retitled just Avengers 3. Now it seems that the studio has decided on an official title. Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 has been changed to just Avengers: Infinity War and it will no longer be two movies. Avengers 4 is currently going under the temporary title of Untitled Avengers, with the official title to be determined at a later date.

Deadline reports that, despite the title changes, both movies' release dates of May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019 remain unchanged. Spider-Man Vs. Giant-Man in Civil War Concept Art

18 July 2016 1:46 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last May, when production began on Captain America: Civil War, many were surprised when Paul Rudd was announced to return as Ant-Man in this Marvel Phase Three adventure. However, it started to make more sense after Ant-Man hit theaters with a post credit scene that tied into Civil War. As production was under way, there had been several rumors swirling that Ant-Man may transform into Giant Man, which is exactly what happened in this blockbuster, and today we have early concept art from part of this scene.

The artwork comes courtesy of artist Andy Park's Twitter, revealing that when he painted these keyframes, he thought, "Holy Cow we're gonna see this on film?!" Ant-Man transformed into Giant Man during the massive airport fight sequence between Team Cap and Team Iron Man. While Giant-Man certainly helped Team Cap get the upper hand, it was Spider-Man who used an idea from that "old movie, »

Lack of New Releases Keeps ‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ and ‘Zootopia’ at Top of Disc Sales Charts

With almost no high-profile new releases to impact the charts the week ended July 10, DreamWorks Animation’s “Kung Fu Panda 3,” distributed by 20th Century Fox, earned a second week atop the Npd VideoScan First Alert sales chart, which tracks combined DVD and Blu-ray Disc unit sales, and the dedicated Blu-ray Disc sales chart.

Holding onto the No. 2 spot on both charts for a second week was Walt Disney Studios’ “Zootopia,” which in its fifth week sold 78% as many copies as the “Panda” sequel in its second (and 71% as many Blu-ray copies).

Moving up a spot to No. 3 on both charts was Fox’s “Deadpool,” in its ninth week.

Universal Pictures’ “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2” dropped to No. 4 on the overall chart, with Paramount’s “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi” taking No. 5.

On the Blu-ray chart, “13 Hours” was No. 4, with Disney’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” moving back up to No. »
