- Anthony was born in Northallerton, North Yorkshire and raised in London's East End, Hackney, to an Irish mother and Nigerian father.
- He spent his childhood summers in Dunmore East, Co. Waterford, Ireland.
- He was recognised as a potential performer at college in North London and was a founder member of Four's Company Dance Theatre.
- He spent one year with a Lindy-hop troupe periodically touring the UK as a support act for the late great Humphrey Littleton and his jazz band and worked with Jos Houben of the Right Size Theatre Company.
- In 1992 Anthony got his first stage drama in a Battersea pub theatre and went on to do extensive physical theatre productions across the world including Oedipus in 2011 with Steven Berkoff.
- He has been especially proud to have performed in both his parent's countries of origin.
- Anthony was a founder member of the 7th, 12th Collective Film Production Company and collaborated in making the Killing Zone, Dead Room and Bad Day.
- In 1997, Anthony joined the BBC Radio Drama Company for a year.
