Modern Family: Season Six Ratings

22 May 2015 1:34 PM, PDT | TVSeriesFinale.com | See recent TVSeriesFinale news »

Though Modern Family saw a dip in the ratings last season, it's still ABC's top-rated series. There's essentially no chance that it will be cancelled but, will the ratings continue to slide this year? Stay tuned.

Modern Family revolves around three Los Angeles families who are interrelated through Jay Pritchett and his two adult children. The ensemble cast is Ed O'Neill, Sofía Vergara, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Rico Rodriguez, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Pierce Wallace.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- usually the next day, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest. (more…) »

Uh, way to not even try to make us feel better, Modern Family cast! When E!'s own Marc Malkin caught up with the cast and executive producers at a screening of this season's finale, airing tonight on ABC, he asked stars like Julie Bowen and Ed O'Neill about when they thought the show might end. Instead of laughing it off and assuring us that the show would run for a million more years, they kind of did just the opposite. "It will, you know," O'Neill said. "I saw Mad Men went off the other day, and that's just how it works. That's all." "Oh, it's coming!" Bowen said of the show's ending. The ABC sitcom is about to head into its »

2015 Emmy Predictions: Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series

10 March 2015 10:26 AM, PDT | Indiewire | See recent Indiewire news »

After three straight years with four of the six supporting comedy actor slots belonging to "Modern Family," last year finally saw the majority figure cut in half with only Ty Burrell and Jesse Tyler Ferguson making the cut (and Burrell winning). Ed O'Neill and/or Eric Stonestreet could make a comeback, or maybe the "Family" love will reduce further this time around? That all depends on whether Tony Hale ("Veep"), Fred Armisen ("Portlandia"), Adam Driver ("Girls") and/or Andre Braugher ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine") can return from last year, and if Martin Sheen ("Grace and Frankie"), Sam Waterson ("Grace and Frankie"), Laurence Fishburne ("Blackish") and/or Josh Gad ("The Comedians") can squeak in for their shows' first seasons.
