John O'Hurley Praises Mike Pence, 'Bravo' for Leaving Colts Game!

  • TMZ
[[tmz:video id="0_9e8mcalt"]] "I go to a football game as I go to a movie or anything else ... for escapism. Not to hear somebody's political views." -- John O'Hurley on Mike Pence's decision to leave the Colts game.  The former "Seinfeld" actor didn't hold back when we asked about the Vice President walking out of the stadium Sunday to protest the players who took a knee during the anthem.  "Bravo," he told TMZ Sports on his way out of Craig's in L.

New Trailer for Indie Comedy 'Swing Away' Starring Shannon Elizabeth

"See the shot in your head, take a deep breath, and swing away..." Freestyle Media has revealed the new trailer for indie comedy Swing Away, about a professional golfer who decides to go home to Greece to get away from all the public attention. Shannon Elizabeth stars as Zoe Papadopoulos, who heads back to her grandparents' village in Greece where she ends up mentoring a 10-year-old girl who wants to be the next golf sensation. Also starring John O'Hurley, Karl Theobald, Manos Gavras, Renos Haralambidis, Alexandros Mylonas, and Viktoria Miller as Stella. This looks like one of those super-duper-charming, uplifting films in a "foreign country" where you get a taste of life abroad. It looks fun, and also very cheesy. Here's the new official trailer (+ poster) for Michael A. Nickles' Swing Away, direct from YouTube: Following a meltdown that leads to a suspension, professional golfer Zoe Papadopoulos travels to

John O'Hurley Denies Climate Change is Behind Hurricane Harvey

  • TMZ
[[tmz:video id="0_im9w5339"]] John O'Hurley isn't buying reports Hurricane Harvey is strong proof of dramatic climate change ... at least not until he sees some hard numbers. We got the "Seinfeld" star leaving Craig's and he says it's too soon for scientists to pin Harvey on global warming. He explains what it would take to prove it ... for him, at least. O'Hurley's a longtime conservative, and a Trump guy, so his stance isn't all that surprising. Of course, if

Every Season We Laugh at the Dancing With the Stars Lineup...and Every Season We Watch and Love It!

Every Season We Laugh at the Dancing With the Stars Lineup...and Every Season We Watch and Love It!
A little more than 11 years ago, the hosts of one of our bigger morning radio shows in Los Angeles were having a good laugh. A new reality-type show had been announced, and six celebrities—all known personalities to varying degrees but no one fresh from an Oscar win or a No. 1 album or anything—were going to be trying their hands at...heehee!...ballroom dancing. In 2005. Bwahahahaha. Little could the skeptics have guessed (heck, even network executives had little more than hope and faith in the successful British TV model to go on) that Rachel Hunter, John O'Hurley (the J. Peterman from Seinfeld), Evander Holyfield, first-ever Bachelorette Trista...

'Seinfeld' bosses, ranked

'Seinfeld' bosses, ranked
In a couple of weeks, TV (The Book) will be in stores (though you can pre-order it now), featuring my and Matt Zoller Seitz's top 100 list of American TV shows and essays extolling their greatness. Most of the book was assembled with a Talmudic level of thoroughness. But scattered throughout are some shorter, sillier lists, which we assembled more on instinct and/or what made us laugh in the moment, on subjects like TV's best spies, best mustaches, and most important articles of clothing. Two of those lists involve TV's best and worst bosses, and a friend who has an advance copy asked me yesterday to go even more granular and rank the various Seinfeld bosses (considering only people who stuck around a while, as opposed to poor Mr. Tomasulo, who gave George a handicap-accessible bathroom). I didn't overthink it, but just went with my gut, and this is what resulted.

How a 'Seinfeld' Joke Became a Reality

How a 'Seinfeld' Joke Became a Reality
For four seasons, John O'Hurley played the theatrically serious clothing magnate (and Elaine Benes' boss) J. Peterman on Seinfeld. His character spoke with unapologetic pomposity as he attempted to inject the workplace with a sense of wonder and adventure, often to Elaine's chagrin. It was a fun role for the actor – "I played like a mix of Forties radio drama combined with a little bit of a bad Charles Kurault," he says with a verve similar to his character's – who was surprised when he arrived on set to learn that J.

Review: 'Archer' Season 7 Episode 5 'Bel Panto: Part I' Starts a Murder Mystery

Review: 'Archer' Season 7 Episode 5 'Bel Panto: Part I' Starts a Murder Mystery
"I swear to God I had something for this." (Episode Summary)Hired to protect a priceless diamond necklace — elegantly named the "Zarina" — the employees of The Figgis Agency go undercover to a "no-shit-black-tie-Hollywood gala," only not everyone gets to gown it up. Pam, Cyril and Ray pose as waiters while the rest of the crew put on their best dinner party attire in order to blend in among the friends of Academy Award-winning director Ellis Crane (John O'Hurley), aka the Hollywood elite. Queen of the ball is none other than Veronica Deane, who's wearing the Zarina in order to impress her ex-husband — or so it's implied. About halfway through the party, what can only be described as an actual insane clown posse shows up, specifically looking for the Zarina. Earlier, after Cheryl mentioned they should hire a clown to liven up the dead party, Robert Shapiro (Patton Oswalt) made a

Watch the cast of 'Seinfeld' wish a terminally ill fan happy birthday -- in character
Several "Seinfeld" cast members staged a virtual reunion for the birthday of a fan with terminal cancer.  James Calder was about a month away from his 67th birthday when his son, Jim, and Jim's wife decided to try to set up a virtual birthday party for him with friends and family sending in video messages, according to Jim's blog post about it on The Huffington Post. That evolved into inviting actors from James's favorite TV show, "Seinfeld," to send in their own videos. John O'Hurley was the first to respond, and did it in character as J Peterman, complete with a long yarn about the native people of Papua New Guinea. Larry Thomas then came through as the Soup Nazi. After that, a smattering of characters from the show submitted videos, from Kenny Bania to Mickey Abbott to Al Roker (as played by Al Roker). Some of the bigger names stepped up,

Seinfeld Cast Members Send In-Character Videos to Terminally Ill Fan
Of course J. Peterman would evangelize the bikini-waxing tribes of Papua New Guinea. Of course Puddy would eat a pound of M&Ms to see if his scale is working. Of course Newman would attend a dying man's birthday party for the cake. According to the Daily Dot, James Calder contacted the cast through social media and successfully wrangled some birthday wishes for his Seinfeld fan father, Jim, early this month. Calder has since died of lung cancer. While Julia Louis-Dreyfus delivered a heartfelt message as herself, John O'Hurley, Patrick Warburton, Wayne Knight, and a host of other amazing Seinfeld weirdos filmed themselves in character. Taken as a whole ... this is some season-five-level stuff, guys. If there is a better gift for a superfan, I have no idea what it could be.

The 2015 'National Dog Show' Will Introduce These Seven New Breeds

Everyone has his or her holiday traditions and, from here, Thanksgiving would not be the same without "The National Dog Show Presented By Purina." It airs Thursday at noon on NBC, right after the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

John O'Hurley returns to host the 14th annual Best in Show-case, with David Frei offering analysis, and Olympians Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir as reporters. Seven new American Kennel Club breeds will be introduced on the show this year — the Bergamasco, Spanish Water Dog, Miniature American Shepherd, Lagotto Romagnolo, Berger Picard, Cirneco dell'Etna, and Boerboel.

Here are descriptions for each new breed, from a National Dog Show media release:

Bergamasco - Sheepdog whose most unique characteristic is its coat, which contains "dog hair," "goat hair" and "wool" combining to form felt-like mats. The mats grow over the course of the dog's life, reaching the ground at approximately 6 years of age.

Spanish Water Dog - A rustic,

'To Tell The Truth' is Coming Back: 5 Classic Liar Clips
"To Tell the Truth," one of the greatest television game shows with a timeless conceit, is purportedly coming back to air. Fremantle is heading up a new primetime version of the series that puts "an update of the familiar format with a surprising new twist that adds action and suspense and raises the stakes." I'm all for it! "To Tell the Truth" is -- with the possible exception of "What's My Line?" -- the best panel game in TV history: Four celebrities interrogate three contestants who all claim to be the same person, and then the celebrities vote on which candidate is telling the truth. It's the show that's most responsible for putting Kitty Carlisle and Peggy Cass into our cultural lexicon, and it's what Eminem is referencing when he famously asked, "Will the real Slim Shady please stand up?" Gordon Elliott and Alex Trebek hosted an early '90s version,
