Back in February, actress Sarah Michelle Gellar confirmed that she is coming back to reprise her role as Kathryn Merteuil in NBC's Cruel Intentions TV series. Last month, she took to her Instagram page to tease her new brunette look, while showing fans the cover page of the pilot script. Now that filming is currently under way, the actress took to her Instagram page yet again, revealing two new photos from the set, one of which was on location in San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background, and the second showcasing the actress taking a break from the shoot while taking a steamy bathtub photo.

Last month, we reported that NBC is eyeing original Cruel Intentions star Sarah Michelle Gellar to return as Kathryn Merteuil in the network's new TV adaptation of the hit movie. Just a few weeks later, the actress confirmed that she is coming back to reprise her iconic role, by sharing a photo of herself alongside producers Neal H. Moritz and Roger Kumble, the latter of which wrote and directed the original movie. Over the weekend, the actress took to her Instagram page again, to share photos of her new brunette hairstyle, along with a photo of the pilot script title page.

'Cruel Intentions' TV Show to Bring Back Sarah Michelle Gellar?

17 years after the original Cruel Intentions debuted on the big screen, the story will continue with a new NBC series. The network recently gave a green light for the Cruel Intentions pilot episode, and now Deadline reports that the network is eyeing one of the original movie's stars, Sarah Michelle Gellar, to return. No offer is on the table yet, but the actress has been approached by the network, although it's unclear if she will come back.
