Cubby O'Brien was born on July 14, 1946 in Burbank, California, USA as Carl O'Brien. He is known for his work on Grease (1978), The Carol Burnett Show (1967) and Gypsy (1962). He has been married to Holly since 2002. He was previously married to Terri and Marilyn.

As a professional studio drummer, has worked with many top performers over the last four decades. He spent several years as a drummer for The Carpenters.
Concurrently with his work on The Mickey Mouse Club (1955), also appeared occasionally as part of the "Lawrence Welk's Little Band" on The Lawrence Welk Show (1955) during the mid 1950's.
Has one daughter, Alicia
"Discovered" by Disney talent scouts in December 1954, while performing at a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) benefit in Hollywood.
Married to a graduate of the University of Oregon, and he may often be seen wearing a cap or shirt bearing the likeness of the Oregon mascot - Donald Duck.
