Michael Robert Nyman products
A native of Long Beach, California, thinly athletic acting veteran Michael Robert Nyman was born in Long Beach, California, a graduate of Millikan High School. Didn't start acting until the age of twenty-two. He moved from his eight month residence living in Portland, Oregon, back down to Hollywood to pursue his acting career. He has tons of stage experience, being a long time member of The Zeitgeist Theatre Company, and co-founder of The First Stage Alert Theatre Company. He produced the 35mm feature film "Bottom Feeders"(1997) with best friend and First Stage Alert co-founder Lonnie Schuyler, (formerly 'Ben Singer' on "Model's Inc." and 'Alan Ross' on "Melrose Place") who also wrote and directed. They used most of the actors from their theatre company to be in the film. The film was never sold and two years later, Michael went bankrupt, as he used all his credit cards to help pay for the film. Michael was also featured in the Johnny Depp film "Blow", but like Kevin Costner in "The Big Chill", ended up on the cutting room floor. Michael still pursues his career, and during the year of 2004 after leaving his longtime position as night manager at Blockbuster Video in Santa Monica, kicked his career into high gear. Since then "Awaken The Dead", "Camjackers", "The Trap" and the Nike Skate Film "Nothing But The Truth", "Live Evil" and "Beneath The Mississippi" (which Michael also cast and associate produced) have all found theatrical and/or DVD distribution, his episodes of "North Mission Road: Who Killed Superman?", "L.A. Forensics", "1000 Ways To Die" and "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" have gotten repeated plays on cable TV. Michael was also featured on "All My Children" as Alan Hodge, a liquor store owner who takes a bribe from Tad to keep his stepson out of trouble, and is also featured in the upcoming feature spoof "Paranormal Whacktivity" and plays the lead villain 'Mr. Thorn' in the upcoming sci-fi thriller "Teleporters". Michael is particularly good at playing bad guys, anti heroes, and authority figures. The director of "Awaken The Dead" Jeff Brookshire says "Michael is fabulous at portraying 'The Seasoned Man Of The World'". Michael can also do a mean 'Clint Eastwood' imitation as Dirty Harry, his favorite movie.
