Black Canary Is Unleashed In New Arrow Season 6 Images

7 October 2017 5:56 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Even though the season premiere of Arrow has yet to air, The CW has opted to treat us with images culled from beyond the returning episode. Truth be told, this practice isn’t unheard of, as networks don’t mind circulating advance photos as long as they aren’t too spoiler-ish. That said, what we have to examine today isn’t going to ruin any possible surprises for you, but what these pics will do is succeed in getting you all the more excited for the next chapter in Oliver Queen’s enduring crusade.

Personally, if anything featured in these new promo images is to get me geeked, it’s most definitely that of the three spotlighting Dinah Drake, the new Black Canary. Since her introduction last season, actress Juliana Harkavy has proven to be a most valuable addition to the cast – and now she’s fully suited up in »

Intense Arrow Season 6 Trailer Debuts Along With New Synopsis

29 September 2017 9:32 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Now that we have less than two weeks separating us from the sixth season of Arrow, The CW has thankfully chosen to serve up an extended trailer. Previously, all we had received was a brief promo and a gallery of preview images, which were much appreciated, but we were clamoring for something as meaty as other recent DC TV teasers.

This time, though, we’re not only granted more action, but more hints at what lies ahead for Oliver Queen and company. And while spoilers regarding who may have survived the blast on Lian Yu are being avoided, we do get a little more between Oliver and Deathstroke. But in this instance, we hear more of Slade Wilson’s dialogue, thus clarifying the context of their conversation. Before, his words sounded more foreboding, but now, it seems like he’s offering some brutal truth.

Also of note is a cameo made by Black Siren, »

Arrow Ep Teases Michael Emerson’s Mysterious Role

28 August 2017 10:04 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Although Prometheus most certainly left some big shoes to fill, the creative minds behind Arrow seem to be more than up to the task when it comes to finding a credible threat for Oliver Queen and company to deal with in season 6. Actually, the heroes of Star City will have their work cut out for them because they’ll have to contend with more than just one big bad when things pick up this fall.

Initially, reports coming out of San Diego Comic-Con back in July indicated that Michael Emerson will be playing Richard Dragon, but we now know that to not be the case since Kirk Acevedo has been confirmed for that particular role. That being said, we’re still left wondering the name of Emerson’s character and how he’ll fit in with Dragon and David Nykl’s Anatoly Knyazev – and whomever else will round out their group. »

Arrow Casts Kirk Acevedo As Richard Dragon

16 August 2017 9:13 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Well, we can finally put a face to one of Arrow season 6’s big bads, as the much talked about Richard Dragon has been cast. Technically, the character’s real name is Ricardo Diaz, but he went by the pseudonym of “Richard Dragon” in the New 52 comics, also being the son of the man to originally bear that name (more on that in a moment).

As it turns out, Kirk Acevedo (Kingdom, Insidious: Chapter 4) has found himself in the role. But before we proceed any further, let’s take a look at the character description provided by Deadline:

A hardened ex-con recently released from prison for crimes he didn’t commit, Ricardo Diaz (Acevedo) is bent on taking over Star City’s criminal underworld. A master in hand to hand combat, honed by years of life on the street, Diaz has yet to meet a foe he can’t take down. »

TV News Roundup: Liz Garbus Shooting New York Times-Donald Trump Documentary for Showtime

15 August 2017 4:07 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

In today’s roundup, Liz Garbus is developing a New York Times documentary for Showtime, while Kirk Acevedo has been cast in the upcoming season of “Arrow.”

Development

Liz Garbus is shooting a documentary series about the New York Times’ aggressive coverage of the Trump administration for the Showtime premium cable network. The Oscar-nominated filmmaker has been filming inside the newspaper’s newsroom for the past six months to gather footage for the series. Showtime declined to comment, but the show is intended to look at both how the newspaper is covering Trump and the larger role of the fourth estate. The film marks Garbus’s first collaboration with Showtime; she’s utilized several other distribution partners in the past. “What Happened, Miss Simone?,” which earned Garbus an Academy Award nomination in 2016, was Netflix’s first prestige documentary, and Garbus followed it with the doc “Nothing Left Unsaid: Gloria Vanderbilt & Anderson Cooper” for HBO. Arrow Season 6 Trailer Drops, Two Big Bads Confirmed

22 July 2017 7:12 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

When you really think about it, it makes sense that Arrow be the one to end a day filled with panels devoted to DC TV shows. After all, not only did it recently conclude one of its finest seasons, but it’s also the eldest of the current crop, paving the way for what has appropriately been dubbed “the Arrowverse.”

That said, we wish they would’ve shown even more new footage in the trailer that debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, but it makes sense as to why they’d include so much from the season 5 finale. After all, not only was that episode a crowning achievement, but it also left us hanging as to who made it out alive.

Now, the more eagle-eyed among you likely noticed some new bits intercut with the old footage, showing various cast members trying to flee to safety, the fate of most of which is still unknown. »

‘Arrow’: Wendy Mericle Teases Felicity’s ‘Dark Night of the Soul’

26 April 2017 12:08 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Despite Team Arrow dealing its first major blow to Prometheus in the previous episode — by finally outing his identity as Adrian Chase (Josh Segarra) to the public — don’t count the meticulously prepared villain out yet.

The episode ends with Chase driving off into the night, covered in blood, whistling a tune even though his well-kept secret is out in the open. Executive producer Wendy Mericle told Variety that even though Chase wasn’t necessarily expecting something like this to happen, he still has a plan.

“Chase is a guy who can pivot on a dime,” Mericle said. “This might have been a surprise for him, but Chase is like a grandmaster at chess. He’s played out every possible move, and knows that regardless of what his opponent is going to do he’s got a plan.”

Variety spoke with Mericle about Chase’s plan going forward, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) getting in deeper with Helix »

Arrow Round Table: Is Oliver Done Being a Hero?!?

28 March 2017 1:00 PM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Were you a fan of Oliver calling time on his days as the Green Arrow?

On Arrow Season 5 Episode 17, Prometheus successfully broke Oliver down, holding him captive for six days until he admitted he was a killer.

Below, TV Fanatics Jim Garner, Steve Ford, Kathleen Wiedel and Robin Harry discuss Malcolm Merlyn being part of the mystery, Artemis' apology, and the significant flashbacks.

What did you think of Malcolm Merlyn being part of it all?

Jim: It's always great to see Merlyn in his element. I'm glad they didn't overuse him in this case. Was just enough to remind us what he was doing at this point in the story.

Steve: I've had a rejuvenated interest in Merlyn ever since he did his Broadway thing on the Flash recently. It was good to see him back and tie into the Bratva storyline.

Kathleen: It's easy to forget nowadays that Merlyn »
