One of the most influential horror filmmakers of all time, the “Night of the Living Dead,” “Martin” and “The Crazies” director appears to have been beloved by everybody who knew him, worked with him or simply grew up watching “Dawn of the Dead” on repeat.

New Halloween Movie Begins Shooting This Fall

16 May 2017 3:07 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Danny McBride keeps saying the right things about the upcoming Halloween movie he is working on with David Gordon Green. He continues to insist that it isn't a reboot, but without seeing anything from it yet, it is hard to know what to call it. Despite a little bit of mysteriousness surrounding the movie in that sense, McBride is keeping the story close to his vest. He has revealed when the movie is going to start shooting, though, which is very encouraging.

The actor/writer/producer recently appeared on the Jim Norton & Sam Roberts Show on Sirius Xm. Danny McBride was promoting Alien: Covenant, which is sort of his first foray into horror and features him stepping out of what we know him for, which has mostly been comedy. But he has been a horror fan for a very long time, which led his frequent collaborator and college buddy David Gordon Green, »

Albert Einstein, Comedy Icon? 9 Examples of How Film and TV Depict His Lighter Side

25 April 2017 9:42 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

The legacy of Albert Einstein cannot be overstated — even when we take the scientist’s accomplishments for granted, he’s one of our planet’s most famous pop culture figures, recognizable across generations. The way he’s been depicted on screen has ranged from well-researched takes on the man’s life, such as Nat Geo Channel’s new anthology series “Genius,” premiering today, to, shall we say, somewhat more out-there fare.

Below are some of the most notable examples we found featuring the great scientist depicted in a less-than-serious state. What’s interesting about looking at all of these examples together is how on the one hand, Einstein as an icon has been utilized for the sake of comedy for decades now. Meg: Jason Statham Calls Shark Film Jaws Meets Jurassic Park

7 April 2017 8:11 AM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

Jason Statham is one of those actors that film fans have grown to appreciate over the years. The man’s an action star almost in the vein of Stallone and Schwarzenegger, but he never seems to get caught in the trap of taking himself too seriously (If you haven’t yet, you need to check out his hilarious performance in Spy). He knows what audiences want to see out of him, and he embraces it wholeheartedly.

If you need any more evidence backing up that statement, then you need look no further than one of his upcoming films, Meg. The movie is set to be directed by Jon Turtletaub (National Treasure, and more importantly, 3 Ninjas), and is based on a Steve Alten novel of the same name.

Speaking with Jim Norton and Sam Roberts on the Jim & Sam Show, Statham gave some brief insight into the flick:

“I just did a movie about a shark. »
