Felicity Jones (l.) takes it to the Alps in Chalet Girl.

Adorable Felicity Jones (The Tempest) stars in the snowy 2011 romantic comedy film Chalet Girl.

Reminiscent of a female Aspen Extreme, the movie stars Jones as pretty tomboy Kim, a one-time champion skateboarder who now flips burgers to support herself and her dad. Opportunity comes knocking when she lands a winter-long catering job in a plush ski chalet in the Austrian Alps.

At first, Kim is overwhelmed by this bizarre new world of champagne-sipping posh people, epic mountains and waist-deep powder. But then she discovers snowboarding, and her natural talent soon sees her training for the end-of-season competition, which could win her major prize money and maybe even the affections of her boss’ handsome son Jonny (Ed Westwick, TV’s Gossip Girl).

Here's the 'Jack the Giant Killer' Trailer

25 December 2011 12:01 PM, PST | Planet Fury | See recent Planet Fury news »

Breaking news from the Better Late Than Never desk: Here's the trailer for Jack the Giant Killer, Bryan Singer's upcoming entry in Hollywood's ongoing fairy tale sweepstakes. I know. Finally.

This preview hit the Inwebternet a while back, but it got lost in the Planet Fury shuffle somehow. Also, you might've noticed we had server issues for a few days. Plus, we overslept. Then there was that pesky combination anthrax scare and bursitis attack. Did we mention our dog ate our homework? Oh, who are we kidding. Let's fall back on that old seasonal favorite — when in doubt, blame Christmas!

Anyway, I personally don't remember the Jack the Giant Killer story being quite this, umm, intense. But, hey, it is about a boy who is almost eaten by a cannibalistic colossus. Of course, he was kinda asking for it by breaking into the big guy's castle and stealing his golden goose and prize princess. »

Dangerously weakened by humanity's lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades (Fiennes) and Poseidon (Danny Huston). The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld. West Eyeing Golden Globes Glory

22 December 2011 12:11 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Dominic West is gunning for Golden Globes glory next month because he is "yet to win an award" during his lengthy career.

The British actor has been nominated for Best Performance in a Miniseries or Television Film for his role in drama The Hour.

He is going head-to-head with his The Wire co-star Idris Elba (Luther) for the trophy, and also faces tough competition from Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), William Hurt (Too Big to Fail) and Bill Nighy (Page Eight) - but he is determined to claim victory at the ceremony in Los Angeles on 15 January.

West tells the Associated Press, "In my 37 years in showbusiness I've yet to win an award. So yes, we had a little jump up and down at home, cracked open another bottle (to celebrate).

"It's always nice to know that what you're doing is actually being watched and appreciated by people. Especially when audience figures aren't so big. And in England, we were on over the summer holidays, so I wasn't ever sure if anyone saw it." »

New hair and new monsters in first trailer for Wrath of The Titans

Sam Worthington leaps back into action - with a longer hairdo rather than his Clash crewcut - in the first trailer for Warner Bros sequel Wrath of the Titans.

The trailer is embedded below, and some new posters for the movie are also featured here.

This time, Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) is in the director's chair and there's a fresh menagerie of mythical beasts roaring and thrashing to the sound of Marilyn Manson's Sweet Dreams.

The monsters include a club-wielding cyclops and - according to one of the posters - the Minotaur, Chimera, Makhai and Titans' leader Kronos.

The good thing is that we may well be seeing some Titans this time. Perhaps not so good is that, like the first film, it's been given a 3D conversion rather than being shot in that format from the start.
