American writer/director, who started in films as an actor in 1911 and later advanced to directing comedy shorts for Mack Sennett. Nigh worked at MGM from 1926 to 1929, followed by a prolific 20 year-long career as a director of second features and 'quota quickies' for Poverty Row studios Monogram, PRC and Republic.
